The first time I saw Adam & The Ants in 78 at the Marquee in Wardour Street was possibly the most memorable. It was the most exciting but scariest gig I have ever been to, from the moment they came on stage, teh air was electric. I know this was not some old bandwagon punk band......sad what happened when they became involved with MaClaren.

Next has to be Killing Joke at Trafalgar Square. It was the reprise of CND and after a Marc h though London we arrived to see a few bands and speakers. After all the sermons, KJ came on, said F*** it, let's dance, broke into Wardance and the place erupted. Went home minus a belt and a brothel creeper. Walked liked Marty Fedlman in Young Frankenstein.

Finally, Iggy Pop at the Rainbow. London was in flames from the riots, there was fear on the streets. He came on and gave an electrifying perfomance. The crowd was a mix of punks and Bowie clones. No Fun was never sung more apltly.

Wow, Lords of the New Church. I actually forgot about them. Saw their debut in London when Stiv nearly killed himself with the false ceiling and mike lead. Brian James had to stop to bring him down,,Sadly he succeeded years later.

For me this must be:
1. The Ramones in 1995 at zwemdokrock in Lummen Belgium. Some little crappy festival... I was 15 and slamming the pit with English punks who got in for free, being hunted by security... Good times :-)

2. Th' Legendary Shack Shakers in Antwerp in 2008, first time I saw them and they just blew me away. David Lee is GOD! Sad that he left the band...

3. Most memorable, but no way the best... was crap if I think about it. Black Sabbath with Ozzy at Graspop metal meeting. But hey I've seen Sabbath with Ozzy...

and I have to mention the goodbye show of "Officer Jones and his Patrol car Problem" a heavy mathcore act from belgium. The place was so packed taht people where being pushed against the wall and climbing in the lights just to see the show. And everyone was still having fun...
Just check the video's... Sound isn't great but Damn what a show!!!
