Most overrated garage/surf bands?

What are some of the crappiest garage or surf bands? You know those bands that everyone goes nuts over but you scratch your head and wonder "What am I missing here? Am I just not seeing it?"

oh man, that's a good one. This is the kind of discussion that will piss people off.. To start off I'm gonna say the Chesterfield Kings. I don't understand what the fuss is about them. I've maybe heard one song that was okay.

King Khan... phones it in. Really, most folks who go gaga over him must have never seen any kinda real soul review. he's kinda sloppy if you ask me, always mugging for his friends.

Estrus was great in the beginning, but after the fire - it went downhill...

That's for damn sure! I bet it made a lotta folks wonder why they contributed to Crider's recovery efforts. Really that whole thing sat pretty funny with me... as in why were so many people busting their ass to help him recoup losses for property he never felt was precious enough to adequately protect in the first place?
