Let's find out where the good places for "wrong side of the tracks" bands to play are in the U.S. shall we? Include venue name, city, state...........We can all learn a thing or two.

I'll start with:
The Mohawk Place in Buffalo,NY
AS220 in Providence,RI

the silent barn is awesome! its a really cool space, and when i was there it was run by a bunch of chicks which was really cool... its sort of in a bad hood but definitely worth going to

i've never been but silent barn in new york city looks awesome! they always have great bands playing there and it looks like some kids just turned their apartment into an art house with live music on weekends...personal and the pizzas played there recently with coconut coolouts and tyvek (i think)
i also like death by audio in williamsburg, bk - its just a big dirty warehouse but they have good/cheap shows
I don't go as much as I use to and it is indeed tiny but the Comet Tavern in Seattle is pretty cool, also. Capitol Hill near Broadway.

Best places in Seattle...
The Funhouse
206 5th Ave N
Seattle, WA

Across the street from the Space Needle, good mix of local and touring cheap thrills.

Slim's Last Chance Chili Shack and Watering Hole
5606 1st Ave So
Seattle, WA

In the industrial Georgetown area south of downtown. Rockabilly, Punk, Garage, Surf bands local and touring. The soundman is on/off the road with The Sonics.

Booze, Bikes and Chili!
I could have sworn I saw a video with the Fuzztones playing at this venue or something like it. It looked embarrassing ( I mean for the Fuzztones to be playing a festival where it was outdoors and nobody was paying any real attention). I get the feeling that most of you think the Fuzztones are embarrassing just in general.

I'd love to see a really good line up at this great outdoor venue in the Crossroads District in downtown Cowtown(Kansas City)

I like The Comet here in Cincinnati, best bands and coldest PBR in town.
