The Clash 'London Calling', '2,000,000' Voices' by the Angelic Upstarts and 'The Crack' by The Ruts.
It's a shame that Malcolm Owen died so young as The Ruts were a great band also RIP to Ruts guitarist Paul Fox who sadly passed away last year. :-9
Also the Angelic Upstarts near seem to get the recognition they deserve which is probably due to the fact that they come from the North East of England and not hip London. Although thinking about it '2,000,000 Voices' might of come out in 1981 rather than 1980. :-/
Oh Christ I forgot about the Upstarts in my original reply! I'll add I'm an Upstart by The Angelic Upstarts if we're having songs and singles too. Again, gimme an extra year and I'll also take 2 million Voices.
I still don't get The Clash or The Ramones though.

Have to agree with most of whats been listed already, especially the Ramones, Boys, Vibrators. But barely making the 1980 cutoff I'll add DOA "Something Better Change", Red Rockers "Condition Red". Also, I really like the Dead Boys "We Have Come For Yor Children" LP. And does DMZ qualify? That first Sire LP is punk in my book. Also was Eater's "The Album" mentioned? Another fave of mine.

yeah! the first Ramones started it all really......the ultimate garage band album...and first punk album.
I wanted to mention Sex Pistols Never Mind The Bollocks too originally....maybe seems a bit too obvious...but really that was a classic..without them where would punk be.
We also played the Blue Boot before it became The Cedar Lounge, where a brawl broke out during our set, and while the bouncers were dealing with it, someone opened the back door, and all the tables and chairs got loaded into a truck and whisked away, ha!
We also got sued for burning down the Royal Hotel in Tillsonburg, but that's another story.
BTW that's the same Fender P-bass that I play today.
For those of you that enjoy great '60s music, but crave to hear some music that Oldies stations do not play, you've come to the right place. No overplayed oldies, just songs from groups that seem to fall of the radar of most classic rock stations....
Show #256: "The Eggman Collection #74"
Every 3 weeks I do a series of shows called The Eggman Collection, which originally was an old tape/cd collection of songs that I like. Now since I have little time due to work and stuff, I made it into a ra...
