Please give me some input! I am stuck in the '90s, and looking to expand my horizons beyond King Khan :)

Again , hard to say. Still listening to the new Dave "Baby" Cortez album. It kills.

Also , The Downliners Sect "Dangerous Grounds" , Electric Prunes "Feedback" , other stuff. I'd have to go thru all the stuff scattered on the floor.

2011 has been a fantastic year for garage/psych/punk fans.  Here are some great 2011 albums you don't want to be without:

1)  The Peoples Temple - Sons of Stone (HoZac)
2)  Indian Wars - Walk Around the Park (Bachelor)
3)  UV Race - Homo (In the Red)
4)  Night Beats - S/T (Trouble in Mind)
5)  Ty Segall - Goodbye Bread (Drag City)
6)  Apache Dropout - S/T (Family Vineyard)
7)  Mikal Cronin - S/T (Trouble in Mind)
8)  Woods - Sun and Shade (Woodsist)
9)  K-Holes - S/T (HoZac)
10) The Beets - Let the Poison Out (Hardly Art)
11) Shannon and the Clams - Sleep Talk (1-2-3-4 Go!)
12) Bad Sports - Kings of the Weekend (Dirtnap)
13) Acid Baby Jesus - S/T (Slovenly)
14) Mickey - Rock n Roll Dreamer (HoZac)
15) Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler/The Dream (In the Red)

I'm so in love with Psychic Paramount - II

I almost never see it anywhere, so underrated.

I mean, it isn't as noisy as their last album, but it's some solid and fairly vital psychedelic noise rock.

Radio Moscow- the great escape of leslie magnafuzz

^errybody look this up. not the most original, but damn if it isn't great to listen too. seen it described as Blue Cheer meets Hendrix

Wooden Shjips - West I kinda liked, but not a fan of the band name lol.

Thanks, I'll look this stuff up! I like wooden shjips as well, they do that great cover of Neal Young's Vampire Blues. Rock on!

Favorites are definitely:
GG King - Esoteric Lore (Rob's House)

Useless Eaters - Daily Commute (Tic Tac Totally)

The Gaye Blades - s/t (Norton)

(Honorable Mention)
The Spits - s/t V (In The Red)

Acid Baby Jesus - LP (Slovenly)

Shannon & The Clams - Sleep Talk (1234 Go)

Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler/The Dream and Castlemania (In The Red)

Royal Headache - s/t (RIP Society)

As mentioned by a few before me, Shannon & the Clams' Sleep Talk  may be the best record of 2011 fer me...I'm havin' a hard time thinkin' of any other albums I snagged this past 12 months (other than the new Ty record which I didn't dig one bit...)

Cool, just listened to Sleep Talk, sounds kinda like something that coulda been on a Scorcese soundtrack.

hmmm. The Moonhearts and The People's Temple had a great records this year.

Has anyone heard the album Badlands by Dirty Beaches? It's like a Lynchian nightmare in a good way. Very haunting rockabilly. That has to be my 2011 fave fo sho.
I may have to search out that Dead Elvis dude too. I think you might have to get it from his website. Which would be a first for me as I've become lazy in hunting out music that isn't on spotify or iTunes...Has anyone got his lp? Is it worth a damn? I love his videos and the whole concept.

Righteous! I'll look 'em up.
