Anyone going? Just reserved cabins with a few of my girlfriends ..from Cleveland. Great line up of bands and activities. Super excited for this trip. This will definitely give me something to look forward to over the winter.

It'd be great if we could get some of these cruise promoters to buy a banner ad on the Hideout! That could go a long way in helping to spread the word...
It kinda looks like they are all going to start ripping each-other off soon! But, needless to say, it will be a good time :)

We set sail in about three weeks!!!!

The Guilty Boat didn't actually set sail though did it? It was just a party on an anchored boat, I thought. (There's a funny photo of Khan at the Guilty Boat party in our MZ Best Of issue.)

Being stuck on a cruise ship is probably one of my biggest fears but the Bruise Cruise actually sounds kinda fun. I liked their Rob Corradetti-designed split 7"s from last year. I wonder if they'll release more this year?

So did anyone go?  How was it?  Worth the money? How were the bands?  Did you get seasick?

Damn, that looks amazing! How was it?

OK the experience as a whole was AMAZING. I was seasick for like at least a week after afterwards, but it was totally worth the money. I mean it was a rock n roll tropical adventure... does it get any better?

no !!

it sails around venice for 5h ! (not enough beers at the end)

last year we were playing right at the moment when fireworks were shots from the town during a beyonce or shakira show for a indian millionnaire wedding !

I second that!  Was a blast and would definitely go again as long as they keep the band line-ups strong.  Be sure to Michelle and Jonas your feedback.  Just might get the whole boat next year...

Ugh I hope not. I have a funny letter to send Michelle actually. But the whole boat?!?!?!? I think my liver might die. Also I really liked the funny interactions with tourists.

True...WAS an interesting dynamic with all the unsuspecting tourists.

A good old fashioned, intimate, punk rock house show: Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) w/ Easy Action (John Brannon of Laughing Hyenas)

What are your favorite albums or songs by Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) or John Brannon (Laughing Hyenas, Negative Approach, Easy Action)?Do you have any stories of memories of these bands? They have been around a while and are pretty well-respected in their circles.Last Tuesday night, I had the pleasure of seeing a couple Michigan rock stalwarts do a rare performance at a local underground punk venue called The 3rd Death Star in…See More
