I haven't really got into DMZ, is there any other band out there like the Lyres or anything else by mono man and the boys since the Lyres?

You should get into DMZ. I think I might even like them more than the Lyres. Another side-project of those guys you should seek out are The Customs... their "Real Long Gone" album on Shake It Records is great. Check this page for more:

Yes,"The way...." is a great song-I like most the cd"the early years79-83"(Crypt records),because it has this raw garage sound.I saw them once in Berlin in the 80`s-it was amazing-LYRES rule!!!But DMZ are also VERY VERY good.

hell yeah ameh brother

That live Lyres album on Crypt is a must-have, too.

Jeff just played a show in Toronto this past weekend w/Crummy Stuff as his backup band...doing Lyres stuff i would assume as that's the way the show was billed.

I just realized my cut and paste didn't work, Instead of Manby's Head's Hideout page link I posted the serial number for the belt on my vacuum cleaner.

Here's a link to a cool radio show called Real Cool Time (hosts are on this board) where there's some video of The Lyres from the above mentioned Toronto show...Brian Young on bass, Rob Toad on guitar and probably Marky Toad on the drums and of course Monoman!!
