Dirty Water Club London Closing Down

I never made it along - as I live in Scotland - but i am properly gutted as it was somewhere I always wanted to go.

Are the people who run it doing anything else?

Or can anyone recommend any good garage rock n roll nights in the big smoke to check out next time i'm down.

Billy Childish is keeping up the monthly res so it shouldn't be too hard to get down.
According to Paul they're planning to do about 20 killer nights a year.

It's actually for the best, the weekly nights were really dwindling - the last time I DJed there were only around half a dozen people who stuck around for long after the bands (and some of them had some pretty fucking wierd requests - MGMT? Are you fucking kidding me?!)

If the last one was anything to go on the less regular nights should be pretty hot, a much better way to keep up the legacy...; ▶ Reply to This
