I have been buying 45s like crazy lately and would love to know what everyone's favorites are. Personally, I can't stop listening to the Ketamines 'Line by Line' 7". Really great stuff.
Honorable mentions would be GG King - 'Adult Rock' and Thee Ludds - 'Where to Begin'
Post up your favorites new and old.

The Dogs first 45- 19/Charlie Was a Good Boy/No Way
The Fun Things single- savage/(I Ain't Got)Time Enough For Love/When The Birdmen Fly/'Lipstick'
And the debut of the New Christs- Waiting World/Face A New God
All moody, cranked-up and pissed-off classics.

Best single i've bought in ages times 10 cause there's 10 killer singles in the box. Really nice pressings (at least mine is, and i bought it when it came out late last year) where you can actually hear Lux breathing at times. It's on Munster Records and i've seen copies at a coupla local record stores recently, so there's still copies floating around waiting to be nabbed by the likes of you!

I was able to get it for $80 Canadian when it came out, so theoretically it should be way cheaper in Chicago....

Some of my most fave:
The Hondells-"Hot Rod High"/"Little Honda"
The Sigma Five-"Comin' Down"/"Pop Top"
Warren Smith-"Miss Froggie"/"So Long I'm Gone"
MC5-"Looking at You"/"Tonight"
T.V. Slim-"Flatfoot Sam"/"Darling Remember"
The Dictators-"Who Will Save Rock 'N' Roll?"/"Savage Beat"
The Howlin' Wolf-"Evil is Goin' On"/"Baby How Long?"
The Replacements-"I'm in Trouble"/"If Only You Were Lonely"
The Lime Spiders-"Slave Girl"/"Beyond the Fringe"
Bill Walker-"Party Time"/"Wineo"
The Mutants-"I Say Yeah"/"Cafe au Lait"
The Greenhornes Loving in the Sun / Your body, not your soul.
Amazing. The version of Loving in the Sun (A side) is the garage rock stomper (as opposed to the laid back acoustic version you hear most often). But the B side is the real corker. Their cover of Cubby + Blizzards "your body, not your soul" is simply my favorite cover song ever. And the sleeve is a nice recreation of the original from 1965.
