The GaragePunk Hideout

GaragePunk.com's Social Network

I've been thinking it'd be cool to launch a video podcast on GaragePunk.com. If anyone out there would like to take a stab at hosting, producing, and editing such a show, please get in touch! Post your ideas/comments/thoughts/questions/whatever here if you'd like.

Thanks,

Yeah - I've been thinking about this too... I would love a podcast that was a trashed out version of the old USA show Night Flight... B-horror trailers, short video clips, and weirdness all mixed with music videos and live performances...

Maybe even with a ghouly host =)

and btw - I would love to do it - I just don't have any idea how difficult it would be...

I'm into this idea.
I'm into doing this.
How's about i just make one and see what ya think.

It'd be Toronto-centric though... although I guess it doesn't have to be.

I'm on it!

Something like Night Flight would be great. I still search torrent and file sharing sites for anyone who had the foresight to record old episodes and then be motivated enough to convert it to digital. No such luck though. I especially want the "New Wave Theater" shows since those were partly responsible for warping my young mind. So yeah, this is an excellent idea.

No hosts though. Hosts more often than not start to think the show is about them and wind up being lame.

I would loe to see a video podcast... definitely cannot host one but will be a fan of whoever does host it :)

Hmmmm.....This is a very dangerous idea, Kopper. I love it. Steam is already coming out of my ears 'cause I'm thinking too fast. I'll keep you posted. (There goes all of my free time).

I don't care who hosts it or does it... in fact, you guys can even take turns if you want, as long as there's some sort of cohesiveness to the format and look or feel of it. I'm interested in seeing what any or all of you can whip up, so by all means keep me posted.

Thanks!

I'd love to throw down on this... I'm pretty handy with final cut / afterFx... I have a ton of high quality trailers and movie clips ripped from DVD that are ready to go - but most of my music vids are downloaded from YouTube and will look like ass if they were compressed again. I have some random Scopitone and old English Beat stuff I got from a buddy - Anyone with lots of Music vids wanna coordinate on this?

I have no talent in this area, but I'll sure watch.

I LOVED Nightflight.

I have Toronto-centric stuff that'd complement yours BT.. as in being different. first thing you'd have to do though is get a hold of the 5 camera Anagram footage that's never seen the light
