Gun to your head, what garage album would you pick to be the greatest of all time? (from any era, but not including comps).

I guess it's obvious, but I'd have to go with The Sonics - Boom

I would have to say Los Saicos' Wildteen Punk From Peru.  It is consistently great from start to finish and their some truly amazing musical and primitive feeling moments in it, especially with the final song "El Entierro Dos Los Gatos."

When I saw this on the list it certainly reminded me - I listen to that album so much, in pieces.  You can scare someone playing that album and I will put another vote in.  Imagine a stranger coming to your door with Demolicon or Alcatraz blasting on your speakers.  I am a sucker for garage coming from Peru.  Los Shains are another - love that Anthology.

1st Elevators album.

The Litter 'Distortions'.

Five Americans 'I See The Light'.

kitchen cinq - everything but the kitchen cinq

Here's my top 3 (off the top of my head, and some previously mentioned...cause they're essential, natch...):

the Sonics Here are the Sonics!!!

the Cramps Songs the Lord Taught Us

the Dirtbombs Ultraglide in Black

Wow! These are great choices.  I really don't even know if I can add any but I'll try.
For albums mentioned but I still think they are best.
The Sonics-Here are the Sonics
? and the Mysterians - 96 Tears
The Seeds - The Seeds
The Count Five - Psychotic Reaction
The Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught Us
The Cynics - Rock and Roll

For albums not mentioned:
The Standells - Dirty Water
The Chesterfield KIngs - Stop!
The Mummies - Fuck CDs! It's the Mummies!
The Mono Men - Wrecker
The Makers - Howl
Thee Headcoats - Headcoats Down

Anyone yet mention the best Aussie punks ever, yet?

The Missing Links - Missing Links.  How more punk can you get than 5 minutes of backwardness in thee outback that is actually listenable - "H'tuom Tuhs", first time I heard it I was convinced it was some digereedoodee Aboriginal on dream time lsd.  Like a boomerangoo I keep coming back.  Feedback, stupidness and bongoes... love it.

Honourable mention to

The Pretty Things - Get The Picture

It's a perfect garage album to me.

That is a Classic album for sure....my first exposure to The Nomads and this one blew me away as they were way ahead (maybe 5 years....) of so many others at the time!!!

Alright, for super current I have to throw Ty Segall into the mix.  Either his self-titled or his collaboration with Mikal Cronin Reverse Shark Attack.  Maybe not "best of all-time" but I think we've pretty much moved away from that exclusive here and those albums play constantly for me.  Also, seconds or thirds or whatever on The Cramps.

GOLDBLADE ‘The Terror Of Modern Life' (Overground Records) CD/LP/DownloadRelease date: 20th May 2013Already getting great reviews, the sixth album by Goldblade is a stark and dark work that never lets go of the band's high octane energy and knack for a great chorus.
