Hunx and His Punx on Lenscrafters TV Commercial

I was mindlessly watching TV last night (I think it was MSNBC) when I saw a Lenscrafters commercial come on that was using a Hunx & His Punx song. I thought I was dreaming, so I went back and watched it again (thank god for DVR) and yup, sure enough, Hunx & His Punx!

Pretty sure it was this song:



Can't find the commercial on the Web, though. Anyone else?

Oh geez...I saw these fella's play last year with the Prmitivas and a couple of other bands at the pre-party gig for Budget Rock. They played at The Eagle Tavern, San Francisco's legendary leather bear bar...it was...a trip?

Actually, it was pretty cool as the Eagle regularly hosts Thursday Night Live, with such bands as Thee Oh Sees, the Fresh & Onlys, Mayyors, Hunx and his Punx, etc., during which most of the regular clientele pretty much skips out and the place fills in with scene kids digging these fun bands. It was still a trip though, the inside of the Eagle is really...interesting...whatever floats yer boat, but yeah it was different, fer sure.

I about shat in my sleeping bag when I saw this.
I also rewound and was in disbelief.

But I felt giving a certain writer of the song a huge congrats. I love my bunnys
