Permalink Reply by John Battles on September 7, 2012 at 1:53pm i SAW THE TRAILER ABOUT A YEAR AGO (?) , BUT , LIKE MOST INDEPENDENT FILMS , THEY PROBABLY HAD TO STOP , RAISE SOME MONEY , THEN START UP AGAIN. I KNOW SOME INDIE FILMS THAT TOOK YEARS , AFTER THE ANNOUNCED RELEASED DATE , TO GET BEYOND ONE INITIAL PUBLIC SCREENING , OR TO JUST FINISH THE DAMNED THING. IT COSTS A FORTUNE TO MAKE A FILM THESE DAYS , EVEN ONES THAT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE MADE FOR A GRAND OR LESS. THE ECONOMY IS'NT HELPING , NOT THAT THE ARTS EVER GOT A BIG BOOST AROUND HERE , ANYWAY.....

Permalink Reply by Audio Gasoline on September 8, 2012 at 11:30am I'm pretty sure this came out a while ago... I have a vague memory of hearing that the Dirtbombs played the Detroit premiere... According to the website they did a US west coast tour with the film this last winter. They're selling stickers & t-shirts, so hopefully it's a DVD that their putting out by x-mas.

This is shaping up to be a good christmas: this movie, new Oblivians, new Reigning Sound, The X-Rays are in the studio, the Mick Collins/Kid Congo/Bob Bert single... man, I need to start savin' up!

Permalink Reply by Joe on Saturday I just heard about this flick from a band's Facebook. I guess I missed this thread the first time around. The film really looks incredible - Dirtbombs, Hentchmen, Detroit Cobras, et al. - so I hope it sees the light of day sometime soon. The filmmakers are raising funds for distribution, with a tentative release date of August 2013. I threw some bucks to their Kickstarter, and it looks like they're about halfway there with 19 days to go. Anyway, the trailer looks fantastic, have a look-see:
