I was recently doing research and I came across a colombian 60's garage band called Los Flippers, and they are really, really good. They do a spanish version Do Wa Diddy that is so good. So, any other good latin american garage groups should know about?

Los Mockers! They're from Uruguay and they're awesome. Their best songs are "What A Life" and "Make Up Your Mind". I learned about them by watching a movie called 25 Watts, which is awesome as well. It's about a bunch of dudes being bored and playing Los Mockers records. Yeah, I know, great plot!
I always enjoyed Los Mockers singles and 1st album too. "My Baby" is my favorite track...I think it was their first single. Another worthy group is Los Vidrios Quebrados. Their Fictions LP from 1967 is pretty solid all the way thru.
There are enough S.A. garage bands to make your pursuit worthwhile. If your not style or year specific in your likes you'll find their spin on things will keep you on the prowl. I second Bob's Los Vidrios Quebrados pick 100%. It's held up for just over 20yrs on my no-trade no-sale list. All original's, creative musicians that open up at that special time (for me anyway) 1967. I have vinyl but I'm pretty sure most of the bands have cd's out.

Don't forget to check the Latin American group here for this stuff:

I really dig my Los Ovnis (The UFOs) record (Mexico, 6ts). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiVvBTfQm4Y

I also have a record comp of "Classicos Del Rock & ROll Mexicano" that gets regular play on my show. Good shite!

!! VIVA ROKENROL !!
I've posted a few videos recently, also check my jukebox for the Los Macs "The Wanderer" done with their fun factor, and if you want wacky funky monkey in some Hot pants try Xingu. The Hypnotic Eye is off a very rare VA album from India, check back as I need to convert my flac files before adding more but I've got hours worth if needed.
Back to Peru compilations are very good, full of interesting unknows (at least to me). Are you already familiar with Os Mutantes and Traffic Sound? The two best ones, I think.
There are TONS of great Latin American garage groups! From the 60s to the present... Peru has some amazing groups: Los Saicos, Los Shain's , Los Yorks, Los Belkings, Los Mangazoides. Los Yeti, Los Flippers from Colombia. Los Speakers, Los Gatos Salvajes, Los Mockers... From Mexico: Los Loco Del Ritmo (more 50s, but still great rockers), Los Teen Tops, Las Moskas, Los Yaki, and more recent bands like Las Bruscas, Los Nassis, Los Pisopaticos, Mustang 66, Los Explosivos.
I've been digging Davila 666's debut LP. They're pretty young, from Puerto Rico. Live vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1D7YJ8O3Fs

sounds cool, but it's not from the 60's ;-)
That sounds awesome. I gotta check that out. My band does a few songs in Spanish, since we are in LA & our singer is Mexican. We do a cover of Blue Girl we call "Ya Me Voy"
Dosen't that mean "I'm Going"?
