John Waters and Jim Jarmusch are the coolest when it comes to rock n roll appearances.

Boy , there's almost never been bad casting FOR Renfield , Dwight Frye , Klaus Kinski , and now , Tom Waits......Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) is on the cover of his "Small Change " (OR IS IT "LOOSE cHANGE"...And , I got the good wordie that Alice Cooper has a cameo in "Dark Shadows , doing "The Ballad of Dwight Frye"...

Alice's bit is great in "Dark Shadows" . Good non - suck 70's soundtrack (OK , SOME OF IT SUCKS.). CHRISTOPHER LEE HAS A SHORT CAMEO , AND THE LATE JONATHAN FRID , WELL , BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS HIM.

Lou Reed as Auden in Get Crazy

The Chocolate Watcband in "The Love - ins". Reportedly , they were'nt shown as prominently as they should have been , because band members pulled some ace pranks on the set , pissing off the powers that be . They're shown , center screen , for about 3 seconds , then mainly from the back with acoustic guitars. The song selection is outstanding , including "Are You Gonna Be There (At The Love in?)" , and an extended "No Way Out". Dave Aguilar told me he was so dissatisfied with "Riot on Sunset Strip" (In which The Watchband kicked ass , of course , netting a large piece of the film.), he did'nt bother seeing "The Love - Ins". I sent him a copy , several years ago.

"The Young Animals" "The Cycle Savages" (I think.) - The Orphan Egg. Insanely underrated Garage -Psych band that released one great album. They reformed , recently , and are on You Tube. I don't know how many original members are involved , but , if ya likes screamin' guitars.....
