heheh
louie louie definitely.Kopper has a great version of it from another band in savage kick.Episode 32 or 33 or 36.Something like that.
Money, That's What I Want. I have no question in my mind about that. Probably the Sonics' version.
This is difficult. I have a better grasp of "the best" or "the coolest" than my own personal favorite. Some songs that I think are pretty near perfect are--
Lust For Life, Iggy Pop
Heartspark Dollarsign, Everclear
You Be Me, Replacements
Worker's Song, Dropkick Murphys
Right this minute it is Hank C burnette - spinning rock boogie,
and the honky tonk angels of Hank Thompson- the wild Side of .
you guys rule
Search and destroy, The Stooges!
My favorite song has always been the Kingsmen's verson of Louie Louie. Sure the Sonics version is fantastic, but that hit version always grabbed me just for being demented and still being a top 5 song.

I think Wipeout (Jim Stark?) said it best.

"thee best fuckin' song EVER! ...yeah, I said it..."
That sir is a motherfuckin great selection! I also love their version of Born To Be Wild, has balls and intensity, rather than a cool tune. I must go with In like a shot from my gun, or some of the earlier pre galm stuff.. gospel according to rasputin etc.. And i wish Don Powell had more studio time, he was a great writer! It changes like most people every day or month haha, but these songs have stuck with me for 30 years or more,...

THE MARSHMALLOW OVERCOAT replied to THE MARSHMALLOW OVERCOAT's discussion what is a good price for a #'d 100-copy 45? in the group Trading Post
"Thanks for your thoughts. I don't want to piss off fans by issuing later a 45 they thought was very limited. I really like the 100-copy idea, though. It can BARELY pay for itself, but would be so cool... "
