Not sure what to make of this. I want it to be good, but their last record "The Weirdness" was pretty bad. Think this will be any different? The short clip of "Job" doesn't sound terrible.

Permalink Reply by John Battles on February 26, 2013 at 6:01pm .... I WONDER WHO PRODUCED IT. I KNOW , THAT PAVLOV'S DOG THING TELLS US TO SAY , "JACK WHITE, OF COURSE !".....KIDDING ASIDE , I HAVE HEARD "THE WEIRDNESS" , ONCE. I DID'NT TOTALLY HATE IT , BUT , I HAD TO ASK , IS IT THAT THE SONGS ARE'NT THERE? WELL , THE SONGS WERE'NT FULLY DEVELOPED ON THEIR DEBUT , EITHER. THEN , I HAD TO WONDER ABOUT STEVE ALBINI. I MEAN , HE PRODUCED A FEW ALBUMS I LIKED (FLESHTONES "LABORATORY OF SOUND " , THE MENTALLY ILL "SPANK THE BOTTOM RED" .e.g.) , BUT HOW DOES ONE PRODUCE ANY STOOGES ALBUM FEATURING RON FUCKING ASHETON ON GUITAR......with no guitar solos on it ? Is it just me? Did you guys hear any? Now it's too late to get Ron to dub some on....It is'nt too late to have Deniz Tek dub some solos on Radio Birdman's "Zero Beach". I don't think.
It's true what Iggy says , this is a BAND. Anyone who's seen this lineup knows they came to work their balls off.......So , if that same energy can be , somehow , contained in the studio , great , I'm all for it. Nice shot at Smashing Pumpkins , BTW.
Permalink Reply by Boaby Digital on February 28, 2013 at 7:38am I agree, it's certainly better than anything Iggy's done since 'American Caesar' and is in no way as bad as most of the reviews claimed at the time. I'll gladly give a new album a listen, as soon as Iggy's voice comes in on any rock track it makes it at least 10 times better!

WELL....COME 'ON:
Permalink Reply by Jarkko Immonen on March 12, 2013 at 1:05pm I couldn't really form any sort of opinion based on the clip. Could be great, but sure, more likely to fall in the "mmkay..." category, sad to say. Here's hoping for the former...
