Hey everybody!

Hopefully you're having a great summer and that the GaragePunk Hideout is part of it, but summer also means it's time to once again ask for your support in helping to keep the best garage/punk/rock'n'roll community on the Weird Wide Web going for another year. Our account with Ning Networks renews later this month, which means we'll be socked with another hosting bill for keeping the site up and running. Back in January we raised a little more than half that amount, so it's time to try and raise the rest of it now, and hopefully YOU can help us meet that goal.

As you're probably already aware, fund drives are held here on the Hideout twice a year to raise money to cover the fees for hosting the Hideout so that the site can be kept up and running for another year so that you and your friends & cohorts can continue to enjoy all the site has to offer and to meet your garage/punk/rock'n'roll social networking needs.

So please consider donating a few bucks to the Hideout to help cover our hosting and operational fees with Ning (our parent site) and DreamHost, the hosting site for GaragePunk.com. We realize times are tough and money isn't easy to come by, but any amount is appreciated and we're only really asking for a few bucks per member... that's about the price of a cheap beer at a bar, and if you saw the Hideout at a bar, you'd buy us a beer, wouldn't you?

This time out we've created some different levels and incentives for donating, so please check each one out and donate at whichever level you feel most comfortable with. As always, every dollar is appreciated!

1. The "warm fuzzy" level. It's just a couple bucks, but every couple o' bucks helps! Donating at this level won't get you anything other than a hearty "THANKS!" and that warm, fuzzy feeling in your tummy that you helped support the site. So, THANKS! And enjoy your warm fuzzy feeling. Click here to donate at this level.

2. Donating at the $5 "TCB" level will get your name listed on our official fund drive thank-you page on the Hideout, and we'll even mail you a couple of GaragePunk.com bumper stickers to slap on the bumper of your sweet ride, in the john at your favorite dive bar, on the side of your guitar case, on the door of your refrigerator, or wherever you want. Click here to donate at this level.

3. Donating at the $10 "Premium Member" level will get you the stickers and name mentioned on the thank-you page as mentioned above, plus you'll be crowned a "Premium Member" on the site (for six months) with a gold star on your profile pic! Sweet! Click here to donate at this level.

4. Donating at the $25 "Super Premium" level will get you all of the above, plus FREE ACCESS to the private GRGPNK Records group on the Hideout (usually reserved for active site participants only), where you can freely download all eight volumes of the Hideout Comp Series (plus any future volumes that come out in the next year)! How cool is that?! Click here to donate at this level.

And, of course, don't forget to visit as often as you can! Lots to read, see, and hear on the Hideout, including our latest venture, the Hideout Comp Series (with eight volumes out now!), plus the main network forum, group forums for specific interests, videos, music uploaded by our 7,500+ members, photos, blog posts, event listings, chat room, and last but certainly not least, the amazing GaragePunk Pirate Radio (the only station of its kind in the entire world!). And while you're there, don't forget to update your profile and check those pending friend requests.

As always, thanks for your support and involvement!

Rock on,
kopper

Kopper, thanks for sharing the hideout with the rest of us.

The Mighties did it! Just check donation from bernardo(at)romizi.com

Thank you Kopp!

Sent from What Wave HQ's in sleepy London Ontario....

Thanx for all your hard work Kopper!!!!!

Done. Dig deep people! Although in truth you really don't need to dig that deep with the different options.

Cheers kopper.

Kopper ,thanks for all that you do here,I ve done the donation thing, cheers

Mission Accomplished. Thanks Kopper!

Done, keep up the good work Kopper, shame I dont get enough visit time!

I am gladly donating today! Thanks, Kopper, for making this great community available to us dregs...

Done, the Fried Clams love the Hideout. Thanks for putting it together

So far, so good! If we keep going at this rate, we can skip the January Fund Drive this year! Let's see where we're at come Friday. Thanks to everyone who's donated so far.

The little gold stars are being added to Premium Member profiles (those who donate $10 or more). Those will expire in one year. Everyone who donates at the $25 (or higher) level will get access to the GRGPNK Records group if they aren't already members. If that's you, and you still don't have access, shoot me a direct message here and we'll try to get it figured out (sometimes the group invite thing doesn't work as well as it should).

So far everyone has donated $5 or more, which means I'll have a lot of stickers to mail out very soon. Please be patient on receiving those. I'll probably start addressing them next week.

Thanks again and keep those dollars flowin' to the Hideout! :)

I just happily donated... I love this site, the podcasts, the bands, the members - you get the picture.

Thanks Kopper. This is the coolest site emanating from a garage.

I'm going upstairs and turn my amp to 11.

The Mobbs have donated! (glenfoster(at)oddpost.com)

Keep up the good work!
