A couple of months ago I started a discussion called Too Old To Rock?   There were loads of great replies that took two main directions - musicians of advanced years and listeners, like myself, who'd never see 50 again.  Now for the sequel - are there teenagers out there playing and listening to garage punk?  What should us old farts be listening to so that we look forward and not just back?

Too Old To Roll! Works both ways!

That band, the Muldoons put out some stuff while being in their teens, backed up by their Dad on drums, though. One thing came out on Cass records. Don't know what they are up to now. This one's pretty rad, has rambles on Action figures and such, in it:

For all the old "farts":

We have band members ranging from 22 to 60 years old.

Are the Impediments still around? That band kicked ass. They put out an album in 2009, and i'm pretty sure there were members around 16 or 17.

What's AARP?

I'd say it all depends, the one thing I really don't like though are the 'old farts' who remember what they like from back in the day and won't accept that things have often moved on from then. So whenever they have something to say about a new style it's negative because it isn't what they like and whenever a new band plays a style they do like they say "What's the point when I can listen to the original." I'm not sure whether such people actually like music as they claim or simply hate it while pursuing a hobby.

The problem is that these purist types are always trumped by purists from the musical wave that preceded them.
