As much as I love the Ramones and Radio Birdman, the artist I own the most records by, is Ty Segall. His guitar shredding and the sound of his voice are awesome, and he's a great songwriter. Plus, he's absurdly prolific and the quality just doesn't drop. At this point, I own pretty much all of his solo stuff and side projects, save for one or two 7" singles.
What about you? Maybe we can post photos of ourselves with our "most by this artist" records?

Permalink Reply by hicksville hogwash on March 4, 2012 at 5:57pm Off the top of my head I would say The Seeds but it is not a complete collection, I think I miss one 45, and I had to sell compilations when I moved from UK to US.
Why the Seeds? I love them of course and L.S.D. convinced me 2 notes were better than 3.
Also a side note - I was fired from my Duke University Radio Show after my Tribute to Sky Saxon Show for opening the show with "Fuck Michael Jackson what about Sky Saxon?" Seems I forgot The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules. It was a well received show with Sky's wife emailing the station to say thank you to me and they had more Continental listeners than ever before....
Permalink Reply by Axel Björnsson on March 5, 2012 at 12:42pm Yeah lol. When I'm in need for metal I always put on Sepultura for old times.
But I was counting my vinyl collection and there is most with The Rolling Stones or 10 records (from my mom's collection) but I bought Their Satanic Majesties Request! There is also bunch of Rory Gallagher and U2(hell yeah). My personal record in records(lol) would be lp's from Spirit or 5 and next there is The Ventures or 4 records.

Bob Dylan. It started off as a competition between my dad and I to see who could find the most obscure recording. So far I have approximately 200 records, CD and tapes from various concerts and outtakes. Not to mention the officlal recordings
Permalink Reply by The Pygmies on March 6, 2012 at 12:05am I'd have to count but it's probably the Beatles, Kinks, Dylan or the Stones. Mainly because there are very few bands that have ever put out more than 3 or 4 good albums.

Yeah I've wanted to check out their stuff, the S/T Moonhearts record is among my absolute favorites of the past couple years and Ty is already a legend.
This video is awesome, the Epsilon dudes doing a fake Laguna Beach episode:
Bringing things back on topic, doesn't qualify as Garage, but I've got about 150 releases/live boots from New Order. It's like 5 days worth of music. Granted it's all digital.

The Damned followed by the Ramones. Mostly because they both have released so many damned (get it?) records and 7" sleeve variations etc etc that sucker a collector nerd like me to buy. No picture of me, but a set a photos I'd snapped for another forum. I have to give credit though to an old friend who sold me his entire Damned 7" collection back in the 80's. I knew it hurt him, but he knew it was going to a good home. That's where a good chunk of my Damned and Capt. Sensible singles came from.
Permalink Reply by Alex on March 7, 2012 at 6:34am That's a pretty tough and expensive collection. Any photos?
