the flestones in seattle a few years back. pretty impressive they were.
the phanton surfers at garageshock when they threw the union 76 balls & silly string.
girl trouble 20th anniversary show at the crocodile with the fall outs & head
The Fleshtones in Geneva, mai 2008. Simply unbelievable, it surely changed my vision of playing music.
Iggy Pop, Avenches 2001. Pretty impressive when you're 14.
and the monotonix, mai 2008 in Fribourg. Not because the band was very good, but because they destroyed almost the whole inventory of that guy's bar who never wants to pay the bands after the gigs (I played once for him and will never do it again)...
THE CRAMPS- all 7 times, probably my top favorites: with Candy Del Marr and Nick Knox, and the tour with DEMOLITION DOLL RODS and GUITAR WOLF, but really...impossible to pick!

ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE-great live and a group I'd never expect to see live in my lifetime.

RAMONES- yep. last tour(Mondo Bizarro I think) before they became an opening act for pearl jam and rancid. (that "final tour" that never seemed to end and got them shittier and shittier gigs) that night on Halloween weekend, Godlike.
Joey: "yeaaaahh...hey, yeh gahs gowt some greaht fakking graveyahds heah in Nu Orrleeeeeens!"

GG Allin, three weeks before he died, New Orleans. no poop, no shenanagans, just really tight rock'n' roll and high adrenalin.

Flat Duo Jets, I sat on a barstool in front of the amp.....deaf for a week. kinda scary but seemed like the right thing to do at the time! two guys louder than any area rock band.

Foetus- again, Godlike. just an amazing show. and a balloon drop douring his cover of Alice Cooper's 'Elected'!

Iggy Pop(1995?).....amazing.

DEMOLITION DOLL RODS....always great(saw them 3 times) but the first time was the coldest night of the year in NOLA. small shitty club with the heat barely working, they get on stage and lose their laundry! then play incredible music....fan for life.

that was more than three!
Manda and the Marbles CD release party for "Angels with Dirty Faces," September 2004, at Skully's in Columbus, OH - One of the best gigs ever by one of my all time favorite bands.

The Pipettes at the Highline Ballroom in NYC, June 2007 - First time I saw them, and they were spectacular.

Little Steven's Rolling Rock and Roll Show Tour, September to November 2006 - Great line-ups, and that was when I first took notice of Whitney Bryant, my favorite Garage Girl a Go Go.
The Making Time 1987 in London, 300 Mods and Scooter boys, this gig really felt like going back to the Sixties
Sex Museum 1992 in Vienna, I loved this Spanish Garage Band and finally The Fuzztones in London, but I can´t remember the year anymore...I really wished that we had Digicams in those days...
Ramones/Runaways 1978
Hasil Adkins 1987
Screamin' Jay Hawkins 1988
no way i could ever choose 3 favorite. but here's 3 that meant a lot to me.
1. Ramones - Austin, TX 1980
2. Sex Pistols - NYC 1996
3, Fugazi - San Antonio, TX 1990
Dirtbombs kick fucking ass live. Seen them 3 times.

The Dirtbombs at the London ULU, The Sonics at the Kentish Town Forum, and Billy Childish at Dirty Water. All classics.
Big Black in Providence & Boston in 1987 ripped my head off.

1.The best show I've ever seen was The Milkshakes with Billy Childish in a club called KIR (Hamburg) in 1982. We were all drunk and dancing all the time. The Band played about 2 hours.

2. 2nd best was the Oh Sees in Austin SXSW 2009 at the Mowhak. I didn't knew them at that time but I wanted to dance from the start.

3. Jesus Lizard in Berlin at Festsaal Kreuzberg 1 year ago they blew my mind after all this years.

And last Radio Birdman every time I've seen them.

I think there were many more fantastic concerts but it all gets blurred after all this years.
Motorhead in Providence 1987, opening for Alice Cooper, taking shit from the soundman, they were out for blood, ended with Killed By Death with a 10 minute noise ending, not one member stopped scowling entire set
Screamin' Jay Hawkins Boston 1988, greatest single performer I've ever seen, hilarious stage banter, a voice that could knock down a wall, he held nothing back
Lonnie Mack Boston 1990 Club was a real toilet, Lonnie drunk and hostile, buzzing in his amp, "I'll just play louder", Augie Meyer at the organ, stompin' blues rock, manic intensity, peaked with Memphis/Wham! medley, expected little, got my ass handed to me

So many more...saw the King twice in 75 and 76, Ramones/Runaways 78, Hasil Adkins 87, Charlie Feathers in early 90's Boston (think it was his only show north of Mason/Dixon), hell the Horrors, Necessary Evils, and Andre
Williams at the 2000 Vegas Shakedown coulda been my top three (oops didn't realize i already posted on this thread, oh well)
I think my three more memorable gigs would be The Ramones when I saw them in Brussels in the early 90s (at a now closed venue called La Luna that had amazing sound), The Cramps (at the same venue around the same time) and The Cynics at El Sol in Madrid last year (great sound and amazing performance).

But I'm leaving out many bands that have been very close, many of them local bands I see whenever I get the chance like Los Coronas (amazing surf band from Madrid), El Circulo de WIllis (I used to play with them years ago but it wasn't until about last year that they got amazingly good), Back On, etc... Also, We recently had the chance to open for Eddie & The Hot Rods and I was blown away by how they sound live and their energy after all these years...

I love being surprised by bands that I like somewhat when I hear on records but then really amaze me with their live performances... it really makes me appreciate how important live concerts are...
