The GaragePunk Hideout

GaragePunk.com's Social Network

I am always on the hunt for killer rock n' roll bands that I have yet to discover. Most weekends i search record bins or online for some tasty new or used vinyl to spin. So, what records are on heavy rotation on your sound system? Here are my top 3 records for this week.

1) The Points/ Maaster Gaiden split 7" (Big Action Records)

2) The King Khan and BBQ Show "Teabag Party 7" (Crypt)
3) Carbonas/ DieRotzz split 7"(Die Slaughterhaus Records)

I've listened to the Rip Offs-Get A Record. Played Tonio K-Life in the Food Chain (there's a few good songs on it, but mostly not good, although it's a green promo copy and it looks cool) and Joe Jackson-I'm the Man, primarily for the title track. It's the best song on the album.

Equal parts early Blue Oyster Cult and 1970s comedy records (Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Steve Martin.) Just the mood I'm in right now, though I've recently discovered Chachi on Acid.

Eddie Current Suppression Ring - Primary Colours (Goner 2008)

Fucking fantastic. Everything I like/love about Wire and/or Television in a no bullshit Aussie package.

Sonic Chicken 4 - "Toe Man" b/w "Midnight Girl" 7"
(Rob's House 2008)
Horrible name, good band. Follow-up single to their In The Red full-length debut. (I think)
