The GaragePunk Hideout

GaragePunk.com's Social Network

I am always on the hunt for killer rock n' roll bands that I have yet to discover. Most weekends i search record bins or online for some tasty new or used vinyl to spin. So, what records are on heavy rotation on your sound system? Here are my top 3 records for this week.

1) The Points/ Maaster Gaiden split 7" (Big Action Records)

2) The King Khan and BBQ Show "Teabag Party 7" (Crypt)
3) Carbonas/ DieRotzz split 7"(Die Slaughterhaus Records)

Ya, lots of stories about the old days, back when Dimwit was drumming for them...and then the 2nd part of the interview is in the next edition that won't be out for ages...i hate when they do that. BTW, did i tell you i saw Pointed Sticks here in about 1980 or so...they were GREAT back then....

Fleshtones : Take A Good Look (excellent, one of their best in years!)
The Solution : Will Not Be Televised (Scott Morgan/Nicke Hellacopter soul project, just as good as the 1st)
Neu : 1st/2/'75 (experimental krautrock that didn't excite me that much before compared to other krautrockers, but now it grows like a mutant virus!)

Have you seen these video clips of the Solution and an interview with Scott?

The problem to me is that I don't like soul music. :(

Don't like Soul... Check out my page and listen to The Charmaines: "I Idolize You".

That's pretty cool!!! Haha. I got a couple tunes of the Detroit Cobras on trading 2 years ago, and, maybe, one of them was a cover version of soul , but it and the original version were cool! So, soul especially of female vocal grew up on me a little recently. However I love Scott's soulful singing voice on Sonic's Rendezvous Band, the Hydromatics etc though! I also have heard cool soul tune on someone's page here. I still don't like fank, haha. Thanks for the up-loading!
