has anyone here tried Joyo pedals?  they are amazingly cheap, reviews are mixed but generally positive.

Haven't tried. Best place to buy online?

i haven't tried them but i've seen them before and i'm curious as well. they look like bootleg MXR pedals as far as design, which would be real cool, but i dunno about like sound quality, durability etc...

I have the joyo vintage overdrive - it really is bloody great, I leave it on all the time for a nice amount of grit before a variety of fuzzes. Get one - and even if you don't like it it costs bugger all for such a good sounding pedal. got mine on ebay for $50 - I think.
I've also got the joyo dyna compressor - used it on bass to good effect but haven't really given it a thorough going over.
The pedals are solid and well made, as good as many 'boutique' pedal.

the vintage overdrive is the one i was looking at, thanks Johnny.

lots of vendors are selling Joyo stuff on ebay and through amazon.  you can buy them direct from China but i think i'll find a domestic vendor.

i own a Joyo Tremolo pedal.

i was lured by the cheap price - turns out to be a mighty expensive paper weight.

it kind of does what it's supposed to but overall sounds like crap, hard to dial in.

i heard Joyo clones pedals by famous makers, i don't know what this is a clone of but it's not good.

my suggestion: if you want cheap imported pedals buy used Boss products.
