What about this effect?

I've just bought it used for 50 € (great price compared to normal new price that is around 100 €)

Anybody used that?

No, tell me about it.

I'm not hip to this pedal.  I do have an old ProCo Rat (which is a great pedal, by the way) that I have had for twenty years or so.  How does the Dirty Rat differ from to regular Rat?

I'm still waiting to recieve it by mail...I also have a normal rat pedal but I can't use it well because with my '78 Telecaster I got problems with tones and if I try a distortion like rat without close all my guitar tones, the amplifier starts to whistle without control.

I know that this version of the pedal is a half way between a classic fuzz and a Rat distortion...I will tell you my test in a few days ;-)

yeah keep us posted, i am always chasing good distortion.... everyone else makes it seem so easy.

I've just test the new effect for some minutes yesterday (today will be the official test with the band) and as the claim says: it has "more fuzz than a police convention!" ha ha, that's right! What a powerful fuzz it is!

I've got a '78 Telecaster and a Peavey Calssic 30 amp and it sounds great! Unfortunately I can't push it to the limit cause with my guitar the amp starts screaming cause of the too bright tones but is still a great effect.

Sure that with a guitar with humbucker pickups it will give you the boost as a fuzzed single coil guitar can have.

I've also got a Big Muff effect but this Dirty Rat sounds even better.
