My favorite bubble top is Ron Agguires X-Sonic!  Bar none!  It's so fukin' futuristic looking and bad ass!!  The first car with hydraulics etc.  From a style aspect it's beautiful!  Low on the front, meats in the back, extended front fenders, fins....it just looks fast as shit sitting still!!!  Oh yeah...and the bubble.  The Atomic Punk is perty close though...

Darryl Starbird's Predicta

And Dean Jefferie's MantaRay,

I still consider Roth to be the King of the bubble tops, no one got it more consistently right than him. It is a toss up between these two for me, but my heart has to give it to Dean's MantaRay, the chassis work and donor car blow everything clean out of the water.

Favourite Bubble top? I'd definitely say The Beatnik Bandit.

X-Sonic was waay kewl. The early versions of the car are also quite nice. The Darryl Starbird Predicta are kool too but my vote also goes to The X-Sonic Vette.

What are your favorite albums or songs by Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) or John Brannon (Laughing Hyenas, Negative Approach, Easy Action)?Do you have any stories of memories of these bands? They have been around a while and are pretty well-respected in their circles.Last Tuesday night, I had the pleasure of seeing a couple Michigan rock stalwarts do a rare performance at a local underground punk venue called The 3rd Death Star in…See More
