OK it's hard to discuss DJing. You pick ya track you que it up and press play. However there must be more we can talk about here. For example I am personally proud of finding a decent playable copy of "Night Of The Phanton" on Tiris which I bought for less than £100. What's your favaourite acheivement?
Lets talk about the things we love.

Bargin, I reckon "night of the sadist" would cost a few quid more tho ;)
As for garage cheapies -

29 BC Hippsville - Sparkles £5
Gotta find a new love - Yo-Yo's £5
Don't want to cry - Buckinghams (2 copies) £4 each
Werewolf - Gary Warren £4
Wolf gal -Skyper Ryle £4
All from the same shop on the same day, fantastic.
Makes up for all those times I payed through the nose.
Now thats a bargain!

I havn't managed to get a record under ten quid for ages.
I recently saw 'Night of the Phantom' for for about $90 on Ebay. It was a REALLY messed up copy.

Here are some of my cheap finds:

Whole box of Peruvian garage, surf, rock n roll from a lady on Craigslist:
Some of the "gems" in the box:
Los Saicos - Come On/Ana
Los Saicos - Entierro De Los Gatos/Salvaje
Los Saicos - Demolicion/Lonely Star
Los Saicos - Camiza de Fuerza/Cemeterio
Los Golden Stars - "Angel" LP and 45
Los Shain's - "El Tren Pasa" 45
3 Doltons LPs & a handful of 45s
4 Belkings 45s
2 45s from Los Holy's

Then some miscellaneous finds that I'm most proud of:
Werewolf 45 - The Frantics for FREE
The Sonics - Boom for $15
The Fabulous Wailers LP for $1
Love's The Thing 45 - The Romancers/The Smoke Rings for $4
Before the cd reissue, I kept getting outbid on Lori Burton's 'breakout' lp. Each time It'd fetch around $100.00 on Ebay. Then one day (expecting to lose again) I was the sole bidder on a copy and won it for only $2.00. Yay!

To me the most rewarding thing is whenever someone asks what I'm playing. My collection isn't terribly obscure, and in the downloading age I go in assuming the crowds heard most (if not all) I play. If I actually turn someone on to something it makes my night, haha.
I recently got a copy of the two disc CD comp of Chris Clark. Motown blue eyed soul at its finest.
