This book looks very interesting. The widely undocumented (VERY poor choice of words , sorry.) influence and involvement of Latino/as in the LA Punk scene deserves an overview , and Alice is the woman for the job. Be well , John Battles .
Permalink Reply by John Battles on June 19, 2012 at 9:51pm Alice just did a performance and reading at the Chicago Reckless records , it was very cool. If anyone's even reading this , I urge you to attend ,should this tour stop through your town. I just started reading Alice's book. She speaks of much hardship as a child , but , is'nt asking the reader to have pity , just to understand that there was a good side to it , too.....Like her sister turning her on to Los Teen Tops , Enrique Guzman , and , oh yeah , The Beatles......And playing with her Barbie Dolls.....
