Boys From Nowhere

The Story of Boston's Garage Punk Uprising

"Boys From Nowhere" is a documentary currently in production that centers on a handful of Boston area bands who came together in the mid-to-late 1970s and went against the grain of weak, irritating Top 40 radio with raw, catchy rock'n'roll. Feature coming in 2012!

This looks similar in theme to the "Bflo Pnk 1.0" I've been trying to find this summer. I look forward to seeing this as well. Let's hope these are just the beginning...
YES!!!

This looks amazing!!! The late 70's Boston scene was always one of my faves as a lot of the bands took the best from the 60's punk era and melded it with the 70's punk energy....hence creating garagepunk!!!

Thanx to Monoman and DMZ, The Real Kids, Classic Ruins, Mighty Ions, Sass, Third Rail,Thundertrain and sooooo many more cool Boston combos!!

This is gonna be KILLER!!!

Awesome bands :)

Just posted "Tralier 2"... check it out:

....A long overdue project , but, anyone who's made a film will tell you it always takes longer than expected....One of those cops looked like he was walking two big dogs , y'knowhuddamean?

This is cool, but i thought the thread was going to be the Columbus, Ohio band Boys From Nowhere, haha.  Lots of great songs, tho getting a bit more metallic by the end- tho even that stuff's still raging.

My fave Boston band release is Nervous Eaters 'Eaterville Vol. 1' - i wonder if, when, and how good a volume two would be.

"This sounds like a huge task, but is there any way that you can create and post a podcast recording of this playlist?  Or maybe do it in sections, and narrate it? "
