The GaragePunk Hideout

GaragePunk.com's Social Network

Hi there,

I am from a Russian garage band called Radio Rock-n-roll. Recently we have recorded a couple songs, and I hope any podcasters will find them worthy to play in their shows.

- MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/radiorocknroll

- Podsafe Music Network profile: http://music.podshow.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash...

Any comments/suggestions/criticism are welcome!

P.S. Hopefully Russian lyrics is not an insuperable obtacle... ;-)

Sounds like regular pop music to me. Your singer has a great voice, but otherwise it's just not doing anything for me. Add a little excitement to your music, maybe try some guitar and vocal effects (fuzz, distortion, etc.) or something. Remember, a "garage band" isn't the same thing as a "garage rock" or "garage punk" band. Pretty much every band starts out playing in the garage, but that's not what we're all about here.

Thanks for feedback!

To tell the truth I still think that it has something to do with Ramones-influenced punk rock, although perhaps you are right that these records are produced with too mellow sound. When we play live, it sounds closer to punk rock.

I will take your opinion into account when we will record other songs.

Hi again,

Recently we have released a couple new songs. We tried to put more Ramones-like feel and garage sound into them. Any feedback is highly appreciated.

You can find them on the same Podsafe page (latest ones - Tanya and SMS) or in my profile here.
