I am from a Russian garage band called Radio Rock-n-roll. Recently we have recorded a couple songs, and I hope any podcasters will find them worthy to play in their shows.
Sounds like regular pop music to me. Your singer has a great voice, but otherwise it's just not doing anything for me. Add a little excitement to your music, maybe try some guitar and vocal effects (fuzz, distortion, etc.) or something. Remember, a "garage band" isn't the same thing as a "garage rock" or "garage punk" band. Pretty much every band starts out playing in the garage, but that's not what we're all about here.
To tell the truth I still think that it has something to do with Ramones-influenced punk rock, although perhaps you are right that these records are produced with too mellow sound. When we play live, it sounds closer to punk rock.
I will take your opinion into account when we will record other songs.
