They also carry a lot of BACHELOR RECORDS titles, some of them are even sold out at the label.

New arrivals!

BASEMENTS - I'M DEAD (BLACK)
After their debut "Heart of stone" 7"ep on Lost In Tyme Records, the garage psych band from Thessaloniki, Greece strikes back with a brand new release. Their debut album "I'm Dead" contains 12 original recordings that will blow your mynd with their US 60s & 80s inspired garage psych tunes. Limited edition release of 350 black vinyl pieces. "Couped up in the lower quarters of their collective dwelling house bravely trying to capture the impulses and absorb all the raw electrical vibrations of the city before they are flitted up and out into the ether - into society's upper echelons and beyond. A young quintet from Thessaloniki fed from an endless succession of loud plasticised aural delights culled from a bygone age and ceremoniously beamed down to them from strange gatherings of well-wishers and soothsayers. They exist many days now on nothing more than this strict diet of guitars, organ, drums, harmonica, maracas and vocals. They are The Basements and they have now arrived to the ongoing party fueled by the cacophonous fuzz-buzz jet-roar of travelling everywhere anytime, their journey only occasionally infiltrated with the here-it-is-again clang of daybreak, to climb amidst the toils, spoils and peculiar stresses of inescapable modernity; of life to be lived and died in the fast-burning, stomach-churning candle wick reality of the clock-bating new world. Only time will tell if once more they'll poke their heads above the paraquet to crawl among the ruins for truths they seek to uncover!" ~Lenny Helsing.

BRANDED - EVIL GONE WRONG
Here it comes, the third LP by your favourite Swedish garage punkers THE BRANDED - and as you could have guessed, this band will once again blow your minds with it! EVIL GONE WRONG is a mixture of punk, 60s R&B and stomping, wild garage. Just like its predecessors (released on DIRTY WATER RECORDS), you will instantly fall in love with this fantastic raw garage-monster! Not least because it has been recorded with analogue equipment and vintage instruments only, to ensure an authentic garage sound.

ELECTRIC MESS - FALLING OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH
Like their debut album, "Falling Off the Face of the Earth" was recorded at The Church in Brooklyn, engineered and mixed by David Horowitz (The Above), and mastered by punk legend Ivan Julian (Richard Hell and the Voidoids). 10 of its 13 songs have already been heard on radio stations across the U.S. and in Japan, France, Scotland, and Germany. Reviews: "...ear-piercing Farfisa, raucous guitars, driving rhythms and sneering vocals, echoing the surge of original punk that rocked a thousand suburban basements... Great original songs, blazing guitar riffs with neo-psych shades." (Hyperbolium) "Thirteen songs that move through the garage punk label perfectly... a band that makes a wall of 60's sound with total conviction." (Kick Out the Jams) "...uncompromising and unpretentious sounds of the great garage bands of the 60s... songs that catch fire right out of the gate and conjure images of The Yardbirds, the 13th Floor Elevators, The Stooges, and at times, even early Stones." (Burning Wood)

LES TERRIBLES - QUELQUE CHOSE COMME ÇA
They did it again! The french ambassadors of the yéyé beat return with their third album "Quelque chose comme a"! So, are you ready for an amazing 60's dance party? Well, don't forget to bring this platter to the DJ! LES TERRIBLES deliver an incredible mix of 60's garage-punk & big-beat shouters and give all of you Beatkeller-dwellers an excuse to dust off your winklepickers and give your mojo a workout! The band that includes members of THE NO TALENTS, LES SYNAPSES, DUTRONC, CECILIA UND DIE SAUERKRAUTS & OPERATION S goes back to the sound of the French Beat & Roll when it was bitten by the Big Bad British Bug back in 1965. Imagine how THEM, THE SMALL FACES, THE YARDBIRDS or the early STONES would've sound if they were from France, never turned professionals and Van Morrison, Keith Relf or Mike Jagger were chicks. All the songs are in French, with that glamorous 'mademoiselle' accent! The band could've been described best as the great french sixties rock band that should have existed but never did. Owing to cultural impediments and lame business practices, there were very few outstanding french rockers from that period. Ronnie Bird, Larry Greco, and a dozen others you've never heard of: LES TERRIBLES cover them all, and every song makes you wanna dance. The band rounds out their set with some originals, as well as their own french versions of some great foreign songs that never got adapted before, all done with a perfect ear for the style. Fronted by the charming and talented chanteuse Rudie this hard-working orchestre delivers the groove that gets the dance floor moving to the Swim, the Jerk, and the Hully-Gully. Les Terribles are sur scene ! ((Jon Dragueur) A Top 10 forever-must have this one is. What more can we tell you?

New Arrivals

SPIDERBAGS - SHAKE MY HEAD
This 2012 collection features 10 dirty "nuggets" of Stax-garage-psych with swagger, riffs, and Brill Building hooks.

YARDBIRDS - LIVE IN STOCKHOLM APRIL 4, 1967
The Yardbirds' performance at Stockholms Concert Hall in Sweden, on 4 April 1967 took place after many months of touring, during which the Yardbirds had been to the United States twice and as far away as Australia and New Zealand. March of 1967 found them briefly back home again (just long enough to record their new single "Little Games" for their upcoming album), however, in Sweden the band (now a foursome featuring Jimmy Page on guitar) did little in the way of promoting it, preferring to stick mainly to crowd pleasers like "Heart Full Of Soul", "Shapes Of Things" and "Over Under Sideways Down". This is a high quality soundboard recording that originally aired on Swedish radio. Tracklist - SIDE A: 1. Shapes of Things 2. Heart Full Of Soul 3. Mr. You're A Better Man Than I 4. Most Likely You'll Go Your Way. SIDE B: 1. Over Under Sideways Down 2. Little Games 3. My Baby 4. I'm A Man.

BIKES - BIKES
The band is from Berlin (kinda), the guys have been in various other bands before including DIE ERSTEN MENSCHEN (who also have a fantastic LP on BACHELOR), DEMONS CLAWS, HELL SHOVEL and CCCANDY. This is a 10-track LP running at 45RPM limited to 300 copies. They do not have a bandcamp, facebook or other fancy social media thing. Cool guys, huh? Tracklist A1. Yellow Car A2. Muscles A3. Dumpster A4. One Day A5. My Two Cents On Crime B1. Huey's News B2. Dead Fish B3. The Cool People of West Berlin B4. Coockoo B5. Schweini Latin Lover

FRESH & ONLYS - LONG SLOW DANCE
A mature, anthemic and -in subtle ways- pretty weird album.

HOLOGRAMS - HOLOGRAMS
Holograms emit a seemingly impossible energy. Their sound synthesizes the drudgery of dismal existence with a lust for something better; echoing both the violent abandonment of punk as well as some of the electronic gloss of early '80s new wave. Their sound has proven far too large for Stockholm's charred pavement and empty streets; leading us to think it's about time for all of us to get a little drunker together.

KNICKERBOCKERS - JERK AND TWINE TIME
Although the Knickerbockers hailed from Bergenfield, New Jersey, anyone listening to the radio in early 1966 would have sworn that they were from Liverpool. Thats when the bands overpoweringly infectious signature tune "Lies" stormed the AM airwaves, convincing many stateside listeners that they were hearing a fab new Beatles single. Jerk and Twine Time emphasizes the raw immediacy of the Knickerbockers origins as a live band. Beyond the dance-craze anthem "Jerk Town" and the venerable R&B instrumental "Twine Time," the set offers a memorable mix of the British Invasion, R&B and Motown covers that dominated the bands live repertoire at the time, with memorable renditions of the Zombies "Shes Not There" and the Kinks anthems "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night." They also tear into the Kingsmens garage novelty "The Jolly Green Giant," the Motown standard "Money (Thats What I Want)" and the R&B classics "Land of 1000 Dances" and "The In Crowd." Out of print in its original LP format for nearly half a century, this vintage 60s gem has been sourced from the original mono tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with complete original cover art. TRACK LIST: 1. You Really Got Me 2. All Day and All of the Night 3. Money 4. The Jolly Green Giant 5. Twine Time 6. Land of 1000 Dances 7. The "In" Crowd 8. The Jerk 9. Jerk Town 10. She's Not There.

KNICKERBOCKERS - LIES
The Lies LP, recorded in Hollywood with songwriting contributions from the likes of Glen Campbell, Jim Seals and Jerry Fuller, surrounds its iconic title hit with an eclectic assortment of tunes, including the catchy melodic gems "I Can Do It Better" and "Just One Girl, the widescreen pop experiment "I Believe in Her" and distinctive renditions of the durable standards "Youll Never Walk Alone" and "Harlem Nocturne." Although they ironically rode the faux-English sound of "Lies" to chart success, the Knickerbockers were actually seasoned live performers who were adept at whipping Garden State crowds into a frenzy long before the British Invasion hit U.S. shores. The quartets prowess as a high-energy live act is apparent on these two vintage LPs, originally released on Gene Autrys fabled Challenge label. Both albums brilliantly reflect the bands distinctive blend of Beatlesque jangle, garage grit and frat-rock adrenaline. Out of print in its original LP format for nearly half a century, this vintage 60s gem has been sourced from the original mono tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with complete original cover art. TRACK LIST: 1. Lies 2. I Can Do It Better 3. Can't You See I'm Tryin' 4. Please Don't Fight It 5. Just One Girl 6. I Believe in Her 7. Wishful Thinking 8. You'll Never Walk Alone 9. Your Kind of Lovin' 10. Harlem Nocturne.

SHADOWS - MEETING WITH THE SHADOWS
At long last, and much to the delight of Shadows fans all over the world, we are proud to present the extremely rare Italian edition of Meeting With The Shadows, originally released ONLY for the Italian market in 1962. Meeting With The Shadows was the first Shadows LP to find its way over the Alps, but unlike in every other country, in Italy the LP itself was actually adapted for the local market, where it was released with new sleeve art and a different track list, considered at the time to be better suited to Italian taste. The resulting album was a compilation of seven singles (including two number one hits, six tracks from their first LP, The Shadows, and three B sides), all from the first two years of their career. Only ever released in Italy, and never re-released on CD, this album-now reissued in a deluxe MONO edition on 180 gram virgin vinyl with an embossed cover and attached bonus "picture" CD in STEREO-is highly sought after by collectors. In addition, the mono version of the original record has not seen the light for over fifty years! Regarding the cover art, this was one of the first times that guitarists in Italy were able to actually get a glimpse of the infamous red Fender used by Hank Marvin, and predictably it caused a peak in Fender guitar sales! Limited edition of 500 numbered copies. Track list - SIDE A: 1. Apache 2. Blue Star 3. Tema da "Man Of Mystery" 4. All My Sorrows 5. Midnight 6. The Savage 7. The Stranger 8. Shadoogie SIDE B: 1. Guitar Tango 2. Sleepwalk 3. Gonzales 4. f. b. i. 5. Peace Pipe 6. Big Boy 7. The Frightened City 8. Wonderful Land.

JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION- - MEAT & BONE

LP version. Their first new studio album in 8 years, a blistering return to form.

TURBO FRUITS - BUTTER
A remarkable mixture of heavy Sabbath-soaked fuzz and tight surf rock riffs.

UNNATURAL HELPERS - LAND GRAB
This Seattle based band started out as a unit of Sub Pop employees. Nowadays drummer-vocalist Dean Whitmore is the only original member left. This is an appealing set of garage rock inspired recordings.

NEW ARRIVALS

GIUDA - RACEY ROLLER (IT)

Reissue on Giuda's own Fungo Records. Sleeve slightly different from the Dead Beat versions. Working from the same glammy three-chord blueprint as contemporaries like Slade, T. Rex, Status Quo, and the Sweet, GIUDA take you back to a monumental by gone era of Rock N Roll. Specifically the early 70's pre-punk, glitter days when music was all about monstrous riffs, bousterous attitudes, high energy experimentation and fun. GIUDA take that same glammy, proto-punk foundation and fuse it with the grimy, tattered muck of bands like Eddie And The Hot Rods, The Pack, PVC and The Kids to create a timeless arsenal of glam injected, pub rock classics. Top notch glitter-fused, punk rock slop that has as much to do with the Faces and Slaugher and the Dogs as it does the UK Junk Shop bands from the '70's' like Hector, Plod and the Rats. Absolutely crushing full length here. Ex-members of TAXI.

KNICKERBOCKERS - LIES
The Lies LP, recorded in Hollywood with songwriting contributions from the likes of Glen Campbell, Jim Seals and Jerry Fuller, surrounds its iconic title hit with an eclectic assortment of tunes, including the catchy melodic gems "I Can Do It Better" and "Just One Girl, the widescreen pop experiment "I Believe in Her" and distinctive renditions of the durable standards "Youll Never Walk Alone" and "Harlem Nocturne." Featuring Mark Arm (MUDHONEY, BLOODLOSS), Steve Turner (MUDHONEY), Tim Kerr (BIG BOYS), Martin Bland (BLOODLOSS), and Tom Price (U-MEN), Seattle's Monkeywrench delivers a collection of powerful tunes sounding somewhere between Mudhoney and the psychedelic sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators.

EXPECTED

BATES, BIG JOHN - BATTERED BONES
Produced by Robert Ferbrache (16 Horsepower, Woven Hand, Slim Cessna), this is a delivery of razor sharp, Gretsch dominated, rock, bringing to mind a hard drive over dirt roads in a flat black 69 Charger. Bates is the former singer of Annihilator. He teamed up with Hofner Strings' Brandy Bones, whos love for old-school country infects her voice inside her often bleak lyrics, while the band harnesses a wall of sound in a style she has christened 'Rustic Punk'. LP version.

NEW SURFRIDERS - KOKOMO/GOOD VIBRATIONS
Norton launches its new POPULAR DEMAND SERIES with stunning covers of two Beach Boys chart toppers by the New Surfsiders! This exciting brawny, suntanned threesome carry on the semi-musical tradition of the legendary sixties budget album THE SURFSIDERS PLAY THE BEACH BOYS SONGBOOK (which featured a young Lou Reed in full Mike Love warble on several tracks), a tradition that seemed unapproachable until now! Add some twisted music to your day!

RIPPERS (ITALY) - BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW
Calling all mods, rockers and punk-ass freaks everywhere! The bastard sons of the Stones and Pretty Things live in Italy and this is their steamin' 2012 album. Recalling the nastiest records of '90s legends The Makers put out before they turned into Elton John, Rippers 1, 2, 3 and 4 (that's their names, dammit!) blaze through eleven tracks of hyper-speed 1960s style rhythm n' beat shakers delivered with the deadliest of punk snarl, fully raunched-out harmonica wail, drum beats tighter than their own pegged trousers, and their signature stinging string-bending wickedry. Vinyl edition.

SUBSONICS - IN THE BLACK SPOT
Atlanta's bad-ass bittersweet popsters deliver more primitive rhythms and catchy riffs galore! Subsonics have been called the "Best band in Atlanta" by fellow Georgians BLACK LIPS and for good reason: previous works by this beatnik, noir-punk careen machine have left indelible marks, or black spots if you will, on the psyche of big-bam-boom-shang-a-lang rockers the world over during their nearly two-decade tenure. This new album brings more of singer Clay Reed's petulant, masculine-feminine vocals and surreal lyricism, shaken up with his signature garroted guitar, Buffi Agueros inventive, incessantly churning drumming, and Rob Delbueno's (Man? Or Astroman?) rolling basement bass. On this latest spin, previously unwritten, yet eerily familiar, melodies echo in the catacombs of America's soul and ring throughout with a childish enthusiasm, like a funky delinquent's budget bubblegum album. That we really have here is an obsessive, detached drop-in to an after-hours opium den, where Super-8 movies are projected onto a soiled sheet, and the soundtrack is undeniably Subsonics.

FROWNING CLOUDS - PROPELLERS
Tracklist: A side, Propellers, sounds like a love march performed by an army of surfing bards; B side, Bad Vibes, is a shinning lost hymn from some 60s that never was. Once again, they do no covers; both are amazing self-compositions, aquatic and sunny songs with tons of reverb, a wall of young voices and delicate, beautiful fuzzy guitar solos.

KEEFMEN - THINGS I REMEMBER/GOT A MILLION DOLLARS
Limited edition 7" vinyl release. Special tribute to the late great Harry 'Cuby' Muskee, leader and founding member of the legendary Dutch 60's beat/r&b band 'CUBY & THE BLIZZARDS. Fellow regional band DE KEEFMEN pay a special tribute to CUBY & BLIZZARDS by presenting flashing versions of two classic Cuby songs 'Things I Remember' and 'Got A Million Dollars'.

EXPECTED (7"s)

BLACK JET RADIO - BLACK JET RADIO
Former Sacred Broncos-guitarist Brian Jenkins and his wife Danisha form the core of Black Jet Radio, a new Fort Wayne, IN based band. Their catchy fuzz hooks a-go-go, sultry female vocals and hot bass-n-drums interplay sound like Blondie's nightliner crashing into the New York Dolls' tour van on the corner of 51st and Main.

CAMP X-RAY - CAMP X-RAY
On 7-inch, this is the debut release from a promising Austin, TX band, taking cues from the Murder City Devils, Sonic Youth, and The Wipers. Edition of 500.

DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS - BETTER LISTEN UP GOOD
What do the new songs sound like? Consider it rock and roll with a bit of shabang! Moronic lyrics feature in the two songs Andy sings. The two songs that Sam sings have slightly more intelligent lyrics, but not by much. Lyrical subject matters include being taught by your father how to seduce women in the same way that he seduced your mother, taking a trip to Italy and being fortunate enough to find yourself at a Bunga Bunga party at Berlusconi's house, following Jesus' wishes to do unto others' bodies as you would have them do unto your own body, having inappropriate relations with your best friend's sister and hoping that he'll still let you stay at his holiday house. Must be good!

DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS - REAL HARD TIME
Europe tour part 2. The year 2012 marks the 9th Birthday of Melbourne's favourite two-piece garage-trash band DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS. That's right, they've almost hit the double digits. Geez, who would have thought that what started off as a bit of a joke by two mates looking for a reason to drink free beer and try to meet girls in their hometown, would take Sam and Andy to all corners of the globe across four continents. The DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS of 2012 is vastly different to that of 2003. Although their live set still features songs from their very first songwriting session, the boys themselves have changed. Whilst age has not wearied them, it hasn't been kind to them either. No, they are no longer Young, Tight and Alright. But they aren't the slightest bit perturbed to be carrying a few grey hairs and a bit of extra weight, they still have a thirst for the stage, a love for each other and a desire to keep on writing and performing music all over the world.

NO NO NO HOPES - NO NO NO HOPES
A swampy punk/garage/hardcore hybrid first seen on the 'Casual Victim Pile' compilation. Six songs including a notable Action Swingers-cover. Limited to 300 copies. Includes download.

TY SEGALL - THE HILL
Another cry of love from Ty Segall crashes the party and detonates without warning on the drink-soaked dance floor. Female voices ricochet, deadpanning from ear to ear. Fuzzy thunders reels on high, thudding slam into your life-chest and rolling out the door. Like a quicksilver wire at the center, Ty's voice seethes you as the unseen craft whirls closer. These are the bongbursts of tomorrow, flown into our so-called "today" as a global warning. Your mission, before it is too late. 'The Hill' is the first single from Ty Segall's 'Twins' album. 'Mother Lemonade' is a fun-ish, sun-ish flip-side anthem specific to this single, meant to be cherished in your personal time-capsule.

THE SONICS - PSYCHO/MAINTAINING MY COOL
If one were forced to name one song that exemplifies the Sonics' revolutionary garage-punk sound, one would have to choose the bands nerve-crushing, soul-shattering 1964 landmark 'Psycho'. Boasting a drunkenly careening sax, a rampaging rhythm section and a wailing, throat-shredding vocal, this enduring classic is paired here with the attitudinal anthem 'Maintaining My Cool', which is widely regarded as one of the crowning achievements of the Sonics' Jerden years. In their mid-60s heyday, the Sonics pioneered a wildly aggressive, distortion-laden style that set a widely emulated standard for propulsive punk raunch. Driven by the commanding, blood-curdling howl of Gerry Roslie and the raucous, screaming guitar of Larry Parypa, the Tacoma, Washington quintet pioneered a pummeling, primitive and supremely infectious sound that served as the blueprint for multiple generations of garage, punk and grunge combos, none of whom ever quite managed to equal the Sonics' feral ferocity. In the decades since the Sonics first made their mark, the band's influence and mystique have grown steadily, with their relatively few recordings attaining mythic status amongst lovers of raw, undiluted rock n roll. Now, Sundazed honours the Sonics' awe-inspiring legacy with this tornadic trio of the band's original vintage 7" Jerden label singles, all originally released in 1966 and now restored to their original vinyl glory and decked out in snazzy new picture sleeves featuring fab vintage photos.

THE SONICS - THE WITCH/LIKE NO OTHER MAN
The song that originally put the Sonics on the map is the immortal underground anthem 'The Witch'. Recorded in July 1964 and driven by a bulldozing volley of drums, a brutally insistent guitar/sax riff and a possessed Gerry Roslie vocal, the song offered a darker, nastier alternative to the relatively well-groomed sounds of the British Invasion. Its prime, primal Sonics mayhem, with a sublimely swaggering B-side in 'Like No Other Man'. THE SONICS - YOU GOT YOUR HEAD ON BACKWARDS/LOVE
For their first Jerden single, the Sonics invoked their bluesier influences and their wisecracking lyrical sensibility to come up with the world-class rave-up 'You Got Your Head On Backwards'. Meanwhile, the fearsome fivesome reveals a hitherto-unheard sensitive side on the ballad flipside 'Love Lights', which is as radical in its own way as the band's rockers.

Nine slices of garage-punk from this Hamburg based outfit.

FLESH LIGHTS - MUSCLE POP
Now also on vinyl, it's the debut album from Austin, Texas based trio FLESH LIGHTS. Steadily turning heads in the garage rock underground for a couple of years, the band's first full-length release offers twelve songs of catchy garage punk filled with pop hooks and plenty of rock'n'roll bravado.

HI-RISERS - HANG AROUND WITH YOU

INCA BABIES - DEATH MESSAGE BLUES
'Death Message Blues' is the powerful 2012 album from UK swamp blues band THE INCA BABIES. It's their sixth album in a career spanning 28 years and marks their return to live performance after the death of founder member bassist BILL MARTEN. Originally formed in Manchester in 1983 by guitarist and vocalist HARRY STAFFORD and bassist Marten, the band released four albums and recorded four sessions for the legendary John Peel Show before splitting in 1988. Reuniting in 2007, Stafford and Marten recruited GOLD BLADE drummer ROB HAYNES, but work on the new album was halted by Marten's sudden death in 2008. After a period of reflection, it was decided to complete the work that Marten had begun, with the band's long-time friend Vince Hunt (A Witness, Pure Sound) taking over on bass. 'Death Message Blues' features twelve tracks penned by Harry S. casting a net across fast and spiky R&B, swamp blues, bastard country and punk power. Lyrically, the songs observe usual Inca traits of wild characters, ghosts and murderous stories. And there also are warm reflections on the passing of founding member Bill Marten.

LEISURE BIRDS - GLOBE MASTER (+7")
From a heavenly body appears 'Globe Master', the second full-length from Minneapolis sci-fi garage quartet LEISURE BIRDS. Executed as a concept record, 'Globe Master' follows the journey of an unknown entity from the outermost dimensions of the galaxy to its eventual fall and transcendence to Earth. Enter the "Silver Runner", the namesake of the entity's mode of transport, which begins the pilgrimage with a propulsion of synthetic loops, skyward keys and slinking bass lines. Includes a free 7" single.

THE SPLITS - DEBUT
Female. Finnish. Fenomenal. While other members of their generation blog the latest fashion farts on Facebook and play electronic hipster bum bum in neon discoteques, the four young women of the SPLITS from Helsinki picked up some real guitars and drumsticks and met in stinky basements, where they taught themselves to play and to follow the footsteps of the WIPERS and '90s Riot Grrrl bands like L7, TEAM DRESCH, BIKINI KILL or SLEATER KINNEY, that they mix with their own vision of powerful Pop that BLONDIE and JAY REATARD taught them. Bittersweet and edgy, the 12 songs deal with interpersonal dilemmas, teenage angst and anger, and are presented with a killer of a voice that will make you shiver. Legend has it that they recorded these songs before they even played one single show. After their first little festival tour this summer, this record sold faster than moonshine liquor at a decent Finnish sauna night. The SPLITS are part of a new generation of young Punx that hopefully will split like amoebas.

VARIOUS - LOST LEGENDS OF SURF GUITAR (2LP)
It's hard to think of a musical style that's more quintessentially American than surf music. Springing up along the California coast in the early 1960s, the surf sound-characterized by "wet"-sounding guitar reverb that echoed the sound of the sea and pummeling rhythms that emulated the ocean's currents was originally inspired and nurtured by the culture that surrounded the sport. Despite its provincial origins, the surf genre captured the imagination of teenagers around the world, and spawned a remarkably large body of highly original music, with an emphasis on innovative guitar instrumentals that would influence rock axemen for decades to come. Much of that vintage surf music was originally released on small regional labels, and many of the acts that created some of the greatest surf music never released more than a handful of singles. Those factors resulted in many original surf classics remaining difficult to obtain in recent years. Sundazed Music, a longstanding champion of vintage surf music, went a long way towards remedying that situation with the release of its CD series 'Lost Legends Of Surf Guitar'. The series has been widely recognized for rescuing numerous rare, obscure and/or lesser-known gems from surf music's golden age. Now, the landmark series moves into second gear, progressing into the vinyl format with a pair of double-LP collections, each of which features 28 below-the-radar vintage surf killers. 'Lost Legends Of Surf Guitar' gathers a rousing, roaring assortment of underground surf classics and underappreciated gems by such notable surf combos as The Challengers, the Pyramids, the Tornadoes, Jerry Cole & His Spacemen, the Catalinas, the Centurions, the Essex, the Jesters, the Rhythm Rockers, the Royal Coachmen, the Tandems and Dave Myers and His Surftones, as well as numbers by both the Surfaris and the Original Surfaris! There's also a rarely-heard track by legendary Minnesota surf-garage kings the Trashmen, the out-there 'Devil Surfer' by Scott Engel (who would soon go on to pop stardom and cult acclaim as Scott Walker) and scarce versions of such surf anthems as 'Jack The Ripper', 'Point Panic' and 'Moondawg'. This essential collection, meticulously mastered from rare vintage tapes and pressed on high-quality vinyl, is the perfect collection for gremmie and ho-dad alike, so grab this wave and jump head-first into the surf!!! TRACK LIST: 1. LOOPHOLE: The Royal Coachmen 2. BIG NOISE FROM WAIMEA: The Ebb Tides 3. GEAR!: Dave Myers and His Surftones 4. THE BREEZE AND I: Steve and the Emperors 5. ALARM CLOCKS - RAMONA
Back from the grave! Ohio's '60s garage punk legends return with two brand new tracks. And things get even wilder, since this single is a teaser for their upcoming 2012 full length!

COP WARMTH - COP WARMTH
The debut release from Houston, TX's newest noise mongers. Five tracks of ugly noise rock that will melt your face. Edition of 500.

DING-DONGS - 4 SONG EP
THE DING-DONGS are MARK SULTAN and BLOODSHOT BILL, two heavyweights of rock'n'roll, old friends both hailing from Montreal. Together, as the Ding-Dongs, they make rock'n'roll of the highest caliber. The real shit. Which is why Norton Records put their first album out in 2010. And why people across the globe wait patiently for this modern-day conduit to tour THAT sound. This EP has 4 songs, including 2 cover versions of great, lost rock'n'roll gems. The first 200 copies are pressed on white vinyl, followed by 500 black ones.

DIRTBOMBS - PLAY SPARKS
Talent is an asset and Detroit's Dirtbombs surely have it. To accompany their new album, We Have You Surrounded, is this brand new 7-inch single on which the band pays homage to label-mates (and one of their favorite bands) Sparks. Side A is "Sherlock Holmes" (a cut also featured on the new album) which was originally released on Sparks Angst In My Pants. Side B, available exclusively on this single, is "Nothing To Do," a song originally released on the 1975 Big Beat LP. This single comes in a handsome color picture sleeve, which also pays tribute to Sparks record covers. Tracks: Sherlock Holmes and Nothing To Do.

FROWNING CLOUDS - LOVING YOU
In this 7" you'll find tons of talent, freshness and teenage fury; 60s punk feeling, but also an acute sight set on the british rhythm & blues of the earliest Rolling Stones, Pretty Things or Downliners Sect.

GG KING - DRUG ZOO
Another new offshoot from members of CARBONAS, and if you heard their first single on Douchemaster you might even think it was the Carbonas, but this one strays pretty far from that tested sound. "Drug Zoo" finds GG KING mixing a bit of his namesake's influence with early Aussie punk, a few hints of black metal and, to really mix things up, a Box Tops cover! A few people might have heard these songs on GG's Last of the Night Wiggers demos, but here they are remixed, mastered and on vinyl.

IGGY & THE STOOGES - I GOT A RIGHT
Tracklist : I got a right/Gimme some skin. Classic Raw Power Outtakes.

WHITE STRIPES - LAFAYETTE BLUES
Record Store Day 2011 release. Reissue of their second ever release from 1998. B/w Sugar Never Tasted So Good.

WHITE STRIPES - LET'S SHAKE HANDS (USA)

BACK IN STOCK (LPs)

ADAMYK, STEVE -BAND- - FOREVER WON'T WAIT

BARRERACUDAS - NOCTURNAL MISSIONS
Debut album from Atlanta based garage/power pop band, featuring members of GENTLEMEN JESS & HIS MEN. Somewhere between The Heartbreakers (Thunders') and The Heartbreakers (Petty's)! Includes download.

BASEBALL FURIES - THROW THEM TO THE LIONS
Buffalo's sons and now Chicago's own the Baseballl Furies have finally finished their 4th and LAST record. Recorded by BOB WESTON at Electrical Audio. From the sorrowful, 'Left for dead,' to enraged punk blasters ilke 'Are You Going to Point Your Gun At Me?' - this record runs the whole Furies gamut. Comes with fizzkicks.com download card.

CHEAP FREAKS - BURY THEM ALL
Their sound and style is reminiscent of the best '60s US garage rock bands (Shadows Of Knight, Standells, Music Machine) and there also are touches of Detroit's '70s scene incl. MC5 and Stooges. And to top things off the band also throws in some modern punk'n'roll. Catchy and energetic! Vinyl version with download.

DEAD GHOSTS - DEAD GHOSTS
This is the first proper LP from Vancouver's DEAD GHOSTS, following a live tape turned 12-inch and a string of sold out 7-inches, and these kids knock the ball clear out of the park. A thirteen-song non-stop hit parade of jangly lo-fi garage rock bashers, with some doo wop prom breaks, country & western twangy lead work, and shuffling rhythms to get the kids shinglin' and shakin'. The perfect soundtrack to a sweaty basement dance party. The album also comes with a digital download code.

FROWNING CLOUDS - LISTEN CLOSELIER
A simple word to describe this release would be, undoubtedly, authenticity. The Frowning Clouds have the teenager fury of those lost bands from the Peebles, Nuggets and other compilations; the sound and the attitude of the earliest Rolling Stones, and their sight set on the blackest rhythm & blues. Its amazing how theyve assimilated these influences developing their own personality.

FUNGI GIRLS - SOME EASY MAGIC
The sophomore full-length from three Texas teens with previous releases on Hozac, Psychic Lunch, and Play Pinball. Their music can be described as wise-beyond-their-years garage-pop and psychedelic gaze. This album embraces a simple formula that works perfectly to distill the nuances of yesterday's overlooked visionaries into the perpetual sound of today.

HUNX & HIS PUNX - TOO YOUNG TO BE IN LOVE
Their debut studio LP. SHANNON SHAW (SHANNON & THE CLAMS) plays bass & penned three of these tracks. The first (now) girlgroup to be fronted by a flamboyant homosexual male. A mixture of 50s teenage rock'n'roll, 60s girl groups, bubblegum pop & trash rock. The vinyl version comes with a download code.

IGGY & THE STOOGES - RAW POWER: LIVE IN THE HANDS OF...
...The Fans'. Vinyl document of the Stooges destroying All Tomorrows Parties 2010.

KID CONGO & THE PINK MONKEY BIRDS - DRACULA BOOTS
The legendary KID CONGO POWERS returns to the psychedelic jungle with a stripped-down, no-frills set of volcanic songs. The premier voodoo guitarist for seminal sexy, swampy bands like GUN CLUB, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, and THE CRAMPS, Powers is a restless aesthete whose earlier solo efforts explored and mixed genres. With Dracula Boots, he comes back to his roots as a crackerjack guitarist playing the primitive music that inspired him-the raw sounds of garage and early Chicano rock. Includes covers of songs by Thee Midniters and Bo Diddley, and the original songs on Dracula Boots go from loud, fuzzy biker rock to a greasy rump-shaker groove; from a scary movie soundtrack to The Meters having an acid flashback.

KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW - KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW (2LP)
LP version features a one-sided 2nd disc containing the band's first demo.

A fall on the floor 11. Hard Travelin' 1:55 12. The Riverside 4:10

SIC ALPS - LONG WAY AROUND TO A SHORT CUT
The new, first-time-ever-on-vinyl 2xLP reissue is somehow a "greatest hits" of the golden not-quite-decade of Sic Alps. Their music is the bright, surging sound of ye olde rock & roll radio (and the garages that tuned in), but heard through air darkened with specks of nameless obstruction. Originally issued as a CD in 2008. It collected songs that were first issued throughout the epic years of 2006 & 2007 on two 12" EPs, three 7" singles and a cassette, plus a song from a compilation CD-R and a song released nowhere else but on the ALWATAS compilation.

SULTAN, MARK - WHATEVER I WANT
Mark Sultan, better known as BBQ of one-man band and The King Khan & BBQ Show fame, has been pounding out his own stew of R&B, rockabilly, garage, doo-wop, psychedelia, punk and whatnot since he was a mere child fronting Montreals Spaceshits. Releasing a slew of albums and touring relentlessly, Sultan has established quite a reputation as a songsmith and vocalist of the highest caliber. Recently he went into the studio and ended up more than two albums worth of material. After trying to whittle it down to one LP, In The Red decided to simply release it all (well, most of it, anyway). Whatever I Want, Whenever I Want is two separate vinyl LPs and one abridged CD. This material represents Sultans most adventurous and varied songwriting to date. He ditched his normal stripped-down / lo-fi approach in favor of a more full-bodied sound and replaced his one-man recording technique with a complete band, all to stunning results. Whatever I Want, Whenever I Want features a number of his musician friends; Dan Kroha of The Gories, Erin Wood of The Spits, Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley of the Black Lips and Bradford Cox, to name a few, all contributed. It has something for everybody: soul stompers, doo-wop weepers, a dash of hardcore and even an Ultravox cover!

THEE OH SEES/TOTAL CONTROL - 2011 TOUR SPLIT LP
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, TOTAL CONTROL destroy with a wicked follow up to their first full length masterpiece 'Henge Beat'. Four new burners from the unstoppable 5 piece. Hard psych guitar based tracks and floating and dark keyboard centered pieces make this a well rounded feast for your southern hemisphere hungry ears. San Francisco repeat beaters THEE OH SEES return with 4 revised tunes. These are the live, full band versions of four faves that sweaty kids have learned how to writhe to and old chin-scratching music hoarders have proclaimed as "not bad." Producer CHRIS WOODHOUSE is at his peak performance with this recording. It's raw and all speaker-melty-and holy shit, it comes with a free download so you can pour it in your ear at the gym.
