Every 3 weeks I do a series of shows called The Eggman Collection which is a big potpourri of every song I've ever liked in my life...EVER! It's literally a huge mixing bowl full of songs written onto tiny pieces of paper. Over 15,000 songs that I've been compiling for the past 20-plus years of my life. Every song I've ever liked has gone into this bowl, and every three weeks I draw them out one-by-one and play them for you in no particular order. A mix of everything and anything I like, no matter what genre, era, style or year of release...if I like it, then I'll play it! No repeats of the same song ever! Tune in tonight (Friday) at 10pm EST for the 112th installment of The Eggman Collection and hear bands and artists like: Flower Travellin' Band, The Pretty Things, The Kinks, Kevin Ayers, The Moles, Flat Earth Society, Le Orme, Badfinger, Q65, Eyes Of Blue, Principal Edwards Magic Theatre, Egg, Kaleidoscope, The Who, Amon Duul II, The Deviants, Spirit, Buffalo, Magma, and many others!!!

Every 3 weeks I do a series of shows I call the "Alphabetical Series" where I randomly draw a letter of the alphabet from a hat. Whatever letter I draw, I take all the bands and artists in my collection (from the 50's, 60's & 70's only) that start with that letter and play them in strict alphabetical order one by one until I run out of time. This week I drew the letter "H". This is the sixth time I've drawn the letter "H", so I will start from where I left off on show #5 (which was with High Tide). So, tune in tonight (Friday at 10:00pm EST) to hear 3 hours of bands and artists that start with "H" like: High Treason, The High Windows, The Higher Elevation, Rosetta Hightower, Highway Robbery, Diane Hildebrand, The Hill, Bunker Hill, Jessie Hill, Vince Hill, Steve Hillage, Gillian Hills, Justin Hinds & The Dominoes, 2 bands called The Hinge, His Majesty's Coachmen, Hljomar, 2 different Hobbits, Hobnail, Chris Hodge, Eddie Hodges, The Rob Hoeke Rhythm & Blues Group, Abbie Hoffman, Ingfried Hoffmann, and many others!!

Permalink Reply by Eggman on May 18, 2012 at 3:45pm Show #374: "Friday & Saturday Songs"
Every 3 weeks I leave an open slot to do random themes and whatnot. This week's theme is "Friday & Saturday Songs". As of May 20th it'll be seven years since The Metaphysical Circus switched from Sunday night to Friday Night, and I'm celebrating by playing all songs about Friday and Saturday (since the show runs til 1am on Saturday morning). I've excluded all songs about Saturday night because; 1. there's too many, and 2. the show has never aired on a Saturday night. So tune in tonight at 10pm for all sorts of great songs about Friday and Saturday of the 60's and 70's, by bands and artists like: Genesis, King Crimson, The Turtles, The Sons Of Adam, Fickle Pickle, Them, Majority One, David Bowie, The Pretty Things, Chicago, Nick Drake, The Second Helping, Van Morrison, Nancy Sinatra, Steely Dan, The Walker Brothers, Funkadelic, Groep 1850, The Monkees, Mott The Hoople, The Outsiders, Atomic Rooster, The Easybeats, The Sandpipers, Keith West, and many others!!!
