About the Hideout

In case you're not aware, the Hideout is the social networking site for GaragePunk.com, our site that hosts the award-winning GaragePunk Podcast Network. The Hideout was created so that fans of both the podcasts as well as the music featured on those podcasts had a place to interact with each other, share music of their own as well as upload videos, photos, etc. Plus, for bands and labels, this is a great place to promote your stuff to an audience that obviously already loves it, otherwise they wouldn't be here! So in that regard it's kind of like a MySpace or Facebook for primitive rock'n'roll... only better because you don't a bunch of scammers here trying to access your account with phishing schemes and other bullshit that you often see on those other social networking sites. So we hope you like it here and that you plan on spending some time taking advantage of everything the site has to offer. Feel free to contribute to some discussions in the Forum, add some shows or whatever to the Events section, post a blog on your page, join and participate in one of our many Groups, etc. Oh, and be sure and invite your friends, too.
