Hideout Fundraising

Ning networks are no longer free! The GaragePunk Hideout is a "Ning Pro" account which gives our members some pretty cool features. These include some pretty important ones that separate the Hideout from other similar social networks, forums, or communities on the Web, such as the ability to upload (not just embed) videos and music (as a member you can upload as many as 100 MP3 files to the player on your page), as well as the Chat Room and other various features, tools and network controls. This upgrade costs about $600/year now, which means we have had to start raising funds from this site to cover the costs or it'll go away. To keep that from happening, please consider donating to our PayPal fundraising drive to keep the Hideout alive! Or consider buying a T-shirt, a pair of GRGPNK Hideout sneakers, or purchasing some of our Hideout compilation albums featuring bands & musicians from right here on the site!

Another way you can help to keep the Hideout afloat is to just start visiting regularly (please make sure you have some email notifications turned on to help remind you of what's happening here). Google ads pay more when there are more site hits (and clicks, wink wink). Try to remember to check in at least once a week if you can, and stay active by visiting regularly and contributing to the content here (forum, groups, posting blog entries, adding videos, music, events, etc.). Also, feel free to invite your friends, follow us by subscribing to our RSS feed or on TwitterFacebook, and Google+! I realize it's hard to lure people away from spending most of their online time on Facebook and Twitter (or MySpace—does anyone still use that site?), but this site does have a lot more to offer the niche fans of wild & primitive rock'n'roll than they do, so please support it!

So if you like this site, please consider donating a few bucks using the PayPal button above to help pay for hosting costs. Note: We also now accept donations using Dwolla! Use the button below:
