For a short while in the 80s, in a squat little dive on West 29th Street, hunched The Dive, the locus and nexus of New York's garage psych scene. Dozens of bands played and played there, and Wednesday nights was the Gore Gazette movie night, where the likes of Herschell Gordon Lewis would show up. You missed out on some great music if you weren't there! Check out The Tryfles, The Optic Nerve, Mod Fun, The Secret Service, The Fuzztones, The Vipers, The Cheepskates, and so many more.......... good times? ha ha ha ha ha ha
