GARAGE PUNK DRUMMER NEEDED IN TORONTO

Posted on August 19, 2012 at 9:39pm 0 Comments

THE EVIL EYES are looking for a new drummer.

We're moving in a new direction that is more garage, more primitive, loud and trashy. Think The Cramps, Gories, Oblivians, Thee Mighty Caesars/Headcoats, Link Wray, Bo Diddley with some BACK FROM THE GRAVE and GARAGE PUNK UNKNOWNS trash thrown in for good measure.

We just released a 7" (recorded by Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders in Detroit; you can check the EP out on our…

MILLION SELLERS' MIGHTY GOOD AND OTHER ROCKIN' HITS! EP AVAILABLE NOW!! $6 PPD $10 PPD with Tee Shirt!!

Posted on January 18, 2011 at 10:04am 3 Comments

YOU KNOW YOU NEED THIS!! Nashville, Tennessee's Million Sellers' take the primal thump of 1950's rock 'n' roll, mix it with the scratchy grit of '60's pop and soul, and filter it all through the punk energy and power pop voltage of the band's teenage idols. This time around there's a little more Gene and Eddie than Chilton and Westerberg but this baby is a soul-jolting 100,000 Volts Of Hip-shaking Rock N Roll!! Perfect for shaking off those winter blues!!

Check it out here on the…

Married
Bio:
BamaLama Records is a small record label (both in size and mindedness) based in Toronto (by way of Nashville) who's one and only goal is to kick yer ass with slop and fury!! We have a fanzine called SHOUT BAMALAMA!! and one of them there website contraptions (www.bamalamarecords.com)

BANDS: We're always looking for new crap but PLEASE look at the stuff we dig before hounding us to release your stuff. We are into trashy, gutbucket, sewer dwellin' screamin' rock n roll- y'know...REAL rock 'n roll (punk, rockabilly, garage, surf...the good stuff, natch.). It's unbelievable the amount of shit we have to wade through on a daily basis.
ABSOULTELY NO MALL "PUNK", METAL, HIP HOP, INDIE, WHINEY PUSSY EMO, EXPERIMENTAL, TECHNO OR ANY OTHER PILE OF MUSICAL SHIT THAT IS IN NO WAY ROCK N ROLL. YOU LOSERS CAN FUCK THE HELL OFF AND BOTHER SOMEBODY THAT GIVES A SHIT.

Here's a little checklist. If any of this describes your band in any way, we'll probably hate you and the best thing for you to do is to go the hell away

* If you have a "vocalist"
* If you studied music (and brag about it)
* If you have a keyboardist" (nothin' wrong with piano and organ but you can stuff yer keyboards up yer balloon knot)
* If you have major label aspirations (Wake up from your dream and go back to washin' dishes at IHOP)
* If you hate treble, reverb, tremolo, or fuzz
* If your music collection is missing ANY of the following: Stax/Volt, Chess/Checker, Specialty, Sun, Crypt, Ripoff, Norton, Telstar, or Candy
* If your "guitar heroes" include Hendrix, Clapton, or Page (fuck it- if you even HAVE a guitar hero, get bent...)
* If you think the Beach Boys are surf music
* If you like Led Zeppelin
* If you can't appreciate the genius that is "Louie, Louie" or "Surfin' Bird"
* If you can't take a flippin' joke

See what I mean about being small-minded? We like what we like and hate everything else. It's our label and that's the beauty of running your own label. If you don't like it, fuck off and start your own label.

Booking Summer Tour for The Evil Eyes

Looking to book an Evil Eyes' mini tour this summer (June/July). Like to play Nashville, Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit, Louisville, Memphis, Murfreesboro, Huntsville, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Atlanta. Will consider almost anywhere so don't hesitate to ask! Would prefer to start in Nashville (my hometown!) and work out from there and finish in Detroit. I mean, what's more pleasant than the South in the middle of summer? You can check out The Evil Eyes on our Hideout page:…See More
