"Yes, those were covers as well of the bands you mentioned. Just thought it was odd that whoever made the list credited some covers but not others. BTW, Wild Thing was more akin to Hendrix' version in style.
"Funny how the list maker didn't identify Wild Thing as a Trogg's cover.
We went and it was a great time. Opening band was Headless Horsemen who also sounded great for not having played together in a number of years. Was it worth the…"

"Jersey City Mods" was originally a nickname for a group of friends sharing a crappy apartment in Jersey City labelled "The Mod Bunker". Now there are only 2 of us, we haven't lived in JC for at least 15 years and the mod clothes don't fit anymore. However, the nickname stuck and we use it to confound the Internet snoops who search for our real names. We have both worked in the music biz (Tower Records, Big Pop)but we are not musicians. We're simply fans of real rock-n-roll who collect records, go to shows and drink too much.
Favorite Music/Influences (list some bands, musicians, genres, etc.):
50's rock, British invasion, 60's garage/punk/psych, 70's glam and punk, 80's indie, 90's grunge and BritPop, current Scandinavian pop/punk (Hives, Stupidity, etc). Also like cajun/zydeco, tropicalia, and kitschy easy listening. Old school soul and R&B, growly blues and novelty songs also fit right in with our collection.
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, A Hard Day's Night, Withnail & I, 10th Victim, Carnival of Souls, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Ed Wood, the Producers (original), Wild in the Streets, silent films.
International travel, recently fixating on Spain and Brazil. Cooking, drinking, people-watching.
Favorite Show(s) on GaragePunk Pirate Radio:
We don't really do the podcast thing. Favorite DJs are Bill Kelly on WFMU and Anrew Loog Oldham on Sirius Underground Garage.
