Greetings all, quick note here to let everyone know that the latest release on 13 O' Clock Records is now available: the reissue of the Jimmy C. and the Chelsea Five - Play with Fire b/w Leave Me Alone 45! This is a reissue of this Dallas, Texas band's lone release, originally issued by Zero Records in 1967. Top-shelf 60's garage punk from the Lone Star state! It's hitting the streets right now, and you can get a copy direct from the source by visiting the 13 O' Clock Records mailorder here:…See More
For fans of rock'n'roll from the 1970s & '80s (proto punk, pub rock, glam, power pop, new wave, Killed by Death-era punk rock, hardcore, swamp rock, psychobilly, the '80s garage/surf revival, paisley underground, shoegazer, etc.).
I'm a no-count native Texan. I've been a life-long music lover. I've been frequenting record stores for over 25 years now, and even before I could legally drive I was buying punk rock records from places long gone like Fallout in Seattle and Blacklist Mailorder in San Francisco. I have been working in record stores for my day job as well for over eight and a half years. I also run 13 O' Clock Records, releasing records by artists such as the Higher State, Paul Messis, Os Haxixins, The Flight Reaction, Arsene Obscene, and Static Static. I also have played in various bands as well over the years.
Favorite Music/Influences (list some bands, musicians, genres, etc.):
60's garage, beat, and psychedelic unknowns (way too many to list!), 70's-early 80's punk and proto-punk, acid-punk, surf, powerpop, glam, krautrock, no-wave, jazz, blues, funk , soul, folk, old country, rockabilly and raw rock n' roll, 13th Floor Elevators, The Seeds, The Music Machine, Love, Neal Ford and the Fanatics, The Blue Things, The Pretty Things, The Remains, The Outsiders, Randy Holden, The Higher State, Paul Messis, Sun Ra, John Coltrane, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Link Wray, Really Red, Dead Moon, DMZ, and on and on..... I've got pretty eclectic taste and the list of bands/artists I dig is pretty long and continues to grow!
The Saragossa Manuscript, Psych-Out, Wild in the Streets, Danger Diabloik, Out of the Past, Kiss Me Deadly, Two Lane Blacktop, Eyes Without a Face, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Wicker Man (the original one!), Psychomania, Deep Red, Simon King of the Witches, the Good the Bad & the Ugly, lots of horror and sci-fi, film noir, Eurotrash, spaghetti westerns, and on and on. Yet another long list!

"Yeah , Johnny , I DID , BUT I FORGOT WHAT I SAID....I remembered reading some of the lyrics when "..."And You Suck" came out , and wondering how long they'd last before some Radical Feminists set their practice…"
