Profile Information

Location:
Austin, TX.
Relationship Status:
Single
Bio:
I'm a no-count native Texan. I've been a life-long music lover. I've been frequenting record stores for over 25 years now, and even before I could legally drive I was buying punk rock records from places long gone like Fallout in Seattle and Blacklist Mailorder in San Francisco. I have been working in record stores for my day job as well for over eight and a half years. I also run 13 O' Clock Records, releasing records by artists such as the Higher State, Paul Messis, Os Haxixins, The Flight Reaction, Arsene Obscene, and Static Static. I also have played in various bands as well over the years.

Favorite Music/Influences (list some bands, musicians, genres, etc.):
60's garage, beat, and psychedelic unknowns (way too many to list!), 70's-early 80's punk and proto-punk, acid-punk, surf, powerpop, glam, krautrock, no-wave, jazz, blues, funk , soul, folk, old country, rockabilly and raw rock n' roll, 13th Floor Elevators, The Seeds, The Music Machine, Love, Neal Ford and the Fanatics, The Blue Things, The Pretty Things, The Remains, The Outsiders, Randy Holden, The Higher State, Paul Messis, Sun Ra, John Coltrane, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Link Wray, Really Red, Dead Moon, DMZ, and on and on..... I've got pretty eclectic taste and the list of bands/artists I dig is pretty long and continues to grow!
Favorite Movies:
The Saragossa Manuscript, Psych-Out, Wild in the Streets, Danger Diabloik, Out of the Past, Kiss Me Deadly, Two Lane Blacktop, Eyes Without a Face, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Wicker Man (the original one!), Psychomania, Deep Red, Simon King of the Witches, the Good the Bad & the Ugly, lots of horror and sci-fi, film noir, Eurotrash, spaghetti westerns, and on and on. Yet another long list!
Other Hobbies/Interests:
women, visual arts, photography, swimming, avid book reader, philosophy, basketball, and baseball.
Favorite Show(s) on GaragePunk Pirate Radio:

Welcome to the Hideout, Brian. First off, please read the Network Guidelines page for a few simple rules to follow. Then, to help you find your way around and get started, I recommend taking a few minutes to read this introductory guide. It should do a good job in giving you a better idea of what all is available to you here. Hopefully you'll like what you find and keep coming back for more, because that's what it's all about. Cheers!
