I went to Memphis (my Mecca) and hot damn...I could see myself there...that town is the trashy tops...
Met Eric O. too ...I could live at Goner Records...
How was SXSW?
Get yer ass to Cola-town again!
Ya lucky rat bastard! I wish I could make the trip to Austin...maybe this summer? While in grad skool, my travels are short and sweet...like my love pump.
Tell CoCoComa to get their asses to Cola-town when ya see 'em!
Trix!
Just droppin' a line ...what's shakin' in Austin?
Two bands I just got into that ya need to check out:
the Coconut Coolouts - only really dig their tune "Party Jail" off their LP, but their primitive keyboardy garage-slop sound would blast at any house party...and they remind me of a happier less experimental Lost Sounds
CoCoComa - Goddamn this trio WAILS! It's super trash speed-garage punk...the first side of their self-titled record hasn't left my hi-fi since I got it 3 weeks ago....how I'd wish this band would come play SC...
...speakin' of which, we got Mondo Topless comin' to the NBT on the 21st...gonna be wild...
...and hopefully regional madmen, thee Crucials soon afterwards...
....OH YEAH! I'm probably goin' to Memphis in mid March fer Spring Break action...any recommendations on what not to miss and what to pass over?
Trix! What the fug's up? I heard you left for Austin to become a stand-up comedian. I've got to hear some of your stuff. How's it going in the Lone Star State. See Roky play yet?
I wonder if this will ever get to court? The BBC has been doing this sort of podcast for years from their websites, does this company really think they can mess with the BBC? and I wonder if the person who did the first ever serialised podcast wil...
Interesting subject this one...
This might sound weird but the podcasts from here sound "warm" as opposed to full blown 256kps or 320kps Mp3's that sound crystal clear but somehow flat and lifeless.
I guess they get close to that dirty tape sound...
