- im from wash dc. i worked in the music industry starting in 2000. i managed bands and worked at record labels. i saw too many shows and im so glad i left new york city and got away from misplaced priorities. now i just listen to what i want and collect vinyl and see more local philly bands than national touring ones which is nice.
i still tour with bands as a professional merch girl. mostly Swans which is amazing because they are like gods to their fans.
i design shirts and use my local philly printers as much as possible. im an old soul and try to do things purely and locally- work, eat, drink, supporting thing from ground up is very important. knowing what is behind shit is important.
and this music is the basis for so much of what came after. it needs due respect. also it simply embodies an attitude i find very attractive.
- Favorite Music/Influences (list some bands, musicians, genres, etc.):
- 60s garage and surf and it's current imitators, some oi, early British punk: the seeds, trashmen, paul revere and the raiders, ventures, the sonics, and recent band like the black lips, the tough shits, just saw a band called Let Me Crazy that was fucking sick!
