I know I may take a beating for this but, has anyone turned on the radio and been inspired to write? What is this overproduced cock rock that the radio stations and major labels are putting out? I can honestly say that witout a doubt that modern rock blows. I miss vinyl records, yes I know I am only 26 years old and the whole record thing was long dead before I was even here on Earth. But the whole music scene has got me down a little bit. Is there anyone out there who cherishes the rare gems… Continue

Hey, I had a pending friend request out for ya but I had to withdraw it because I was maxed out and it was taking too long for you to accept it. Anyway, if you ever make it back be sure to check those and send me one then, OK? Thanks! And don't be a stranger. Cheers.

Sometime after I had got into the Ramones and CCR I heard the Ramones covering "Have you ever seen the rain." That inspired me to learn the song....sorta like what I was talking about before. HA!

We (musicians) all had to learn a few covers to grow. Here's my short list of songs I cover. (the ones I'll admit to...) Have you ever seen the rain. by Creedence Clearwater. Bitter Tragedies, by the Avengers. Kiss the bottle, by Jawbreaker. Beat on the brat, by the Ramones. Please, please, please, by the Smiths. and Sometimes good guys don't wear white, by Minor Threat.
Nowadays I believe that my style of songwriting falls in the middle of that list, or at least I hope that it does.
P.S. Sounds like you got a cool scene goin there.

So do the Vibes know any top 40 covers? I know a couple cover songs I'd play but I definitly got my own spin on them you know....I play for me. Dig?
Cover songs are good so your audience can get a feel for your sound. They serve as comfort and iclimatization. Some of the best shows I've seen the band would open up with a cover.

Yeah I like his sound. Great stuff!
I've actually never been to the Smokehouse. Guess I should get out and do that stuff some. But if you see a really tall goofy looking guy there, that would be me.
