Nope, Stronger Than Dirt was originally for the Ajax Detergent commercials in the 1960s, i believe.

I have a compilation album "Songs we taught the Mummies" and there's about six different versions of the song on it.
The version by Devo is alright but i think i prefer the one by Tom King and the Starfires. Its instrumental though :)

yeah, Uncontrollable Urge by Devo was the first version i heard of that song. I heard about the Mummies a few years later and loved their take on it.
Both The Mummies and Devo did versions of "Stronger Than Dirt" as well.

If you have cd's or vinyl of your band I would love to sell them in my new indie ALL vinyl shop in East Lansing. Give me a holler!

Go to the player at the side and you can upload up to 4 tracks at time when you hit "add". The songs must be in MP3 format though.

Great entertainment start to finish, not one single dud, so it's going to be a difficult show to follow, Gents. (I'd forgotten just how good Dr John could be, this was a timely reminder to start digging in the vinyl vaults again)
