Yea, I know of the Bar of Soap, saw Mule, and maybe PW Long there. I was friends with the guy at the 5 and dime. I guess it would have been between `94 and `97 while I was finishing at Univ of N Texas. I was there when there was free pool!
Very cool, you should throw a few pics of your projects up. A buddy of mine just moved to Austin, so you might see an old blue Triumph running around, decent enough dude. The Austin rally sounds cool. When I lived in Denton and Dallas I used to go to the Lake of the Pines rally, but never hit up the Austin clubs gigs - some real down to earth guys in it. Man, SXSW always creeps up on me, and then it's on, I need to get on the ball with that one of these years. I heard Wayne Hancock is on speed these days, should make for an interesting show at the Continental this year
