This stylish Garage/Beat-quartet from the Rhein-/Ruhr area embodies an ingenious musical connection between THE MONTESAS and COOL JERKS; an early 60's British Merseybeat sound, strongly influenced by bands like THE KINKS, THE SHADOWS or THE YARDBIRDS, spiced up with German lyrics.
The members are Tim (BEAT BY FIVE), Rudi (CONNECTION 99), Christoph (MONTESAS) and Simone (BOUT DE JOU), and they've been playing together for about a year now in the R&B/60's Beat- Combo KOMMANDO BEAT, wearing a stylish uniform 60's-look.
Their debut album is released on SOUNDFLAT RECORDS and available as LP and CD. The album consists of twelve catchy and dancable songs, following the British 60's sound - however, ten were recorded in German language and two in English.
In addition to nine excellent self-composed songs it also includes cover versions of the 60's Beat classics 'Love potion number 9', 'I wanna be your man' and 'You're no good', which they present us with in German - skilful and not without humour.
The new album by KOMMANDO BEAT is German Merseybeat at its finest and will make you want to dance all night long!
