Looking for answers to questions that may have no answer ; {)
Just putting this out there for all you fellow freaks, but I was wondering how y'all feel about the way in which bands of higher caliber always seem to fly below the proverbial raydar? It seems almost a slight on pop cultures taste, as it has continued to slide into the murky depths of bad pregenerated pop and pompas, over produced, under thought, rap "music". - higher quality art of any kind by its very nature will always be below the radar - the masses and mass media is where the $$$ are; in high volume - the marketeers will target them, hence the airwaves, and the tastes of the masses of sheep called 'popular culture' eternally run toward bread and circuses -
its that 'lowest common denominator' thang - like mcdonalds food.
i for one hope we stay below the radar... even in the heyday of the music we here like ( like the sixties) the airwaves were dominated by commercial music - think hermans hermits, the monkees, paul revere and the raiders....
