Drummer wanted for Brother K (NYC based outfit)

We're an NYC based blues/punk outfit who write songs about tiger moms, dead saints, and the Apocalypse. We've been together since last November and have gigged at Arlene's Grocery, Uncle Charlie's, Pete's Candy Store, and Sidewalk Cafe (in addition to shows in Providence and New Haven). Anyone else think it's weird that at one point in our recent history, garage rock and "nu metal" were competing for the favor of mainstream rock audiences?  I don't think there was ever a point at which two visions of rock music - i.e., rebellious versus "rebellious," unvarnished versus slickly corporatized, bassless bands versus seven-string-drop-C-tuning acts - were so starkly evident in the top 40.  Certainly at the time, I remember thinking nothing of hearing Linkin Park follow the White…See More

Where has this been all my life

First time user.  I spent a couple years in a band in Korea, then moved onto a folk rock duo, and now making noise in a bassless three piece - sure the fad's passed, and the Black Keys are playing with a couple dudes lurking in the background these days, but pure rock and roll isn't really about being faddish is it!? Now I'm in a grad program in Victorian Studies @ Columbia U, and spend my nights attacking my Mexi-Strat while my landlord plots my demise...
