I've always been a big fan of Mardi Gras, and this is the mix i'll be listening to this year. It's all over the place, but it ties together nicely. Always looking for new suggestions.

I went to see my friend's band the other night. Unfortunately, they were a blues
band. Now, I have nothing against the blues, In fact, I have seen many of the old
bluesmen, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Mississippi Fred McDowell. But what I see
in blues bands these days, is a guy with a pony tail and a hat, playing a Fender

dave said… Glad to hear that there are still 2 or 3 bands that you like in Minn.
We have a great music scene here, and also get great road-shows, but sadly we are lacking in venues for punks to play in (and even in punk, it seems) - Portland is just not overflowing with aggro or frustration. Must be the beer & pot, haha!
Sonics play here on Thurs. OFF! may be playing here soon, Mudhoney and Man or Astroman? are coming, so it's not a total write-off.
