Nowadays it's not 100% the rarest....thanx to places like Myspace and GaragePunk :)

For most of the '80s, back whn I was a young parent and broke most the time, about 95 percent of the music I bought was from the bargain bins -- cassettes to be exact. Found some great stuff in there, mainly rockabilly, blues and country.

Yeah, my fav's are the cheapies! A lot of the rarities are rare for a reason...they are only good enough for a collector geeks wet dreams. Lot's of great records on both sides of the pricing spectrum though.

I strongly disagree with this premise. Very few have ever come close to topping "96 Tears," "Dirty Water" and "You're Pushin' Too Hard" and all of those were big mainstream hits played on commercial stations, selling lots of pimple cream ads.

Amount of Outsiders covers?

The Outsiders (dutch) are my absolute favourite band however I've noticed the large amount of covers of "Touch", "Sun's Going Down", "That's Your Problem",

I know The Tell-Tales Hearts did at least two Outsiders covers
-The Lyres did at least two
The Thanes did "Touch"

Any others, I'm sure there's a bunch
It's funny how a band like The Outsiders wrote all their own songs never covered anyone else, but everyone covers them haha.

Painted ship

So I've fallen head-over-heels for candian garage rock (particularly Gruesomes not only have I developed a crush on Bobby Beaton but have been playing Tyrants of Teen Trash 857649876 times ina row)

Well I'm curious if there is anywhere or such place where I can locate a Painted Ship album...?

Bowl haircuts

I wish people had bowl haircuts, other than small children and maybe some Beatle boots?
Is there any part of this planet where such exists? I live in a hipster infested city, which isn't as bad as it sounds.

Blah blah summer & trying to find cds of bands!

Ok so i'm trying to locate copies of cds of these bands : Kenny & the Kasuals,The Gruesomes (bought a cd off Ebay person decided to never send me it, THANKS!), The Daily Flash, Richard The Young Lions, The Misunderstood, The Sparkles.
I've fallen head over heels for the late Tim Buckley and Love with Arthur Lee particularly the song "Signed D.C."

I've been working everyday for two hours at this dumb art festival where people dress up like a painting and people pay 90$ for a ticket for a two… Continue

Hey Natalie,
I like your thoughts on Rock&Roll music! Are you still very affected by the Canadians? Dan Electreau has a show specially about bands from there:

"Double Yellow Line" is ace! Hmm, I think I'm going to make a mix of "driving" songs like that. That'd might be fun to listen to in the car.

Great entertainment start to finish, not one single dud, so it's going to be a difficult show to follow, Gents. (I'd forgotten just how good Dr John could be, this was a timely reminder to start digging in the vinyl vaults again)
