Posted on November 18, 2011 at 9:00am 0 Comments

Swamp Fiction (that's the label branch of Pacifiction Records) has been hard at work releasing new & amazing garage punk from the Far East! The latest news is that THE FADEAWAYS, a Japanese band know for crunching up classic North West style garage has been chucking it back Stateside. They performed a short tour of the North East earlier this November, and Swamp Fiction completed their US debut 7" single just in time for them to sell-out of it during their 6 show run!

Big news this Fall for Swamp Fiction, that's the record label branch of Pacifiction Records, and what all the garage punk nuts out there should be keeping an eye on! THEEE BAT have visited smoky London & played the Funtastic Dracula Carnival in Spain. Now they are making their US debut (along with a new release from Dirty Ugly/Squoodge Records). You can get their…

HOUSE of MYSTERY Vol. 4, "House of the Dolls" A Japanese girls in the garage party!

Posted on September 5, 2011 at 8:30am 0 Comments

Welcome back to the HOUSE of MYSTERY, boys & girls! This past August 13th, was an fiercely female night of estrogen-fueled antics and adventure! Five gravely glamorous groups of Japanese femme-fatales appeared on stage at Club Heavy Sick along with special attractions including a sneak-peek screening of B-movie maniac Chris' footage for his tentatively title slasher flick "I Ain't Your Geisha!" and special burlesque dance performance by the lovely… Continue

It's the second installment of TOOLIE FROOLIE and features a host of DJs spinning classic garage, surf and rockabilly, not to mention some live & wild Japanese rock 'n' roll action by the likes of The Fly & His One Man Garbage (feat. belly dancer Shaula Lee), Tucker, Stompin' Riff Raffs, Reiko & the… Continue

HEAL THE COAST - A Homespun Tsunami Benefit

Posted on August 15, 2011 at 10:00pm 0 Comments

I put this benefit comp together way back last May but haven't done much to promote it. Five months on, there are still people in need and much recovery still going on, not to mention the uncertain future for those who lived and made their living around the Fukushima nuclear plant. That being said, please take the time to read this blog and check out the page where you can download the comp.

Over the past year Pacifiction Records has evolved in some strange ways...…

i hope the rest of their tour went well!  Great guys, wish they had more records to sell when they were here! They sold out before I could get to them!  Say "hi" to them when you see them next time.

Thanks for the add Marty!  The Fadeaways and Jackie and the Cedrics was one of the best shows i've seen in a long time... too bad only about ten people were there!

ED WOODS - Wild Dude (& more!) on Pacifiction Records!

Invoking their namesake, ED WOODS draw on 50’s sci-fi and B movie hysteria for their trash rock ’n’ roll sound. Forming in 1995 amidst all the wild garage sounds coming out of Tokyo at the time, ED WOODS became notorious for their gore and horror filled live shows. In the early 2000's, the band joined the Japunks event in NYC at the legendary CBGB alongside notable US-based Japanese acts THE SPUNKS and PEELANDER-Z. ED WOODS remain a relentless, foaming, bloody stage attraction for any given…See More

EDDIE LEGEND STORY (and MAD3 & HELL-RACER) on Pacifiction Records

Living up to his name, Eddie Legend is largely know for his role in shaping the early Back from the Grave scene in Tokyo during his stint in the currently wildly popular all-girl trio 5678's and as a founding member of psycho-surf garage band MAD3. Over the years, Eddie has honed his 007 meets 50's biker look as well as his instrumental rock 'n' roll guitar skills. He recruited a few other chic cats to back him up as well as the lovely Reiko for occasional vocal expositions and thus the EDDIE…See More
